I'd recommend Seinen to you, but judging by how much you've seen so far, it may set your bar too high for other Manga. That happened to me and Vagabond after I got caught up with Berserk, since something as awesome as Berserk was my first Seinen, and I subconsciously thought another Seinen like Vagabond would be just as amazing.

If I were you, I'd read the Slam Dunk Manga. It's a classic 90s Shonen like DBZ, but a lot better. I'm not a sports person and its still one of my favorite series so far, and right now, I'm also reading the author's other Seinen Sports Manga, Real.

One word of advice to you... Don't watch the Slam Dunk Anime. Toei dun goofed animating it and they didn't even animate the final arc.

If you still don't want to read it instead of watching another anime, I'll also add that it's a rather quick read, despite being 31 volumes long. I finished several volumes in each sitting. Just be sure to watch each of the games in individual sittings.

I would recommend you to watch Hunter x Hunter (2011). Personally the best anime and pretty much show ever. You can watch Parasyte and Kuroko no Basket which are in my opinion great shows.

Three of my personal favorites. You probably won't like them though, you seem like one of the long series watchers if that makes sense. Just a hunch I have, but try these anyway.
