Only if you really liked Death Note you should read the manga IMO.

I don't see any problem with the anime, considering if they animated 2-3 chapters per episode. It's the entire series. Although there are some slight differences later on, the ending is definitely different. You should watch the anime, and then switch to the end of the manga after finishing the anime.

I read the manga, the only thing I asked this was that my dormmate watches it, and you know i dont want to get spoiled. Or something. I thought it s like GANTZ, 20+ episodes whilst 350+ chapters.
