Because why the f*ck not. Anyways, I'm sure there might be SOMEONE who actually likes or respects, the MLP franchise. I actually do. I really liked the 80s show. It took itself seriously when needed and it had a bunch of awesome villains, very good yet random storylines and decent main characters. Who knew?

It's not Transformers, but it ain't bad either. If you want to insult the rest of the franchise, go on, I won't stop you.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

Eh I liked FiM a while ago but I stopped caring. I liked it because I needed a sense of purpose and I gained it associating myself with this large group of people, the bronies. I've now just stopped caring about it and I'd much rather fulfill myself in plenty other ways, which I actually did.

Some of the things I've seen, though. I need eye bleach.

The 80's series, like the 80's Transformers, is subject to a lot of nostalgia goggles. They had some good episodes, but in general, the episodes were really not all that good. In the case of the 80's MLP, I'd say 60% was horrible, 30% was okay, and 10% was good

I like the 2010 series, the older stuff not so much. I feel like the show isn't even aimed at "little girls", it's a kids show sure, but there's nothing in it I can think of that seem specific to girls. I guess people would argue that ponies are a girls thing, but...why? They're just an animal; it's not like dogs are a boy thing, or cats or a girl thing, or literally any other animal is liked by any specific gender.

But yeah, it's a decent show in the same way Powerpuff Girls and Ed, Edd 'n' Eddy are. If you don't like shows aimed at kids, you won't like this, but gender should really have no influence on it.

Hasbro certainly markets it as for girls, kind of like how they market Transformers at boys.

The show itself is pretty neutral, but the marketing isn't as much.

I don't pay much attention to the marketing, I've seen trailers for season 5 and they all seem pretty gender neutral.

All of MLP is neutral to be honest. Old or new, it doesn't have anything that could be defined as "girly". Arguably the new version is softer and way safer than the 80s one.
