Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

Just why.

It's never going to be as good as the one with Pacino(was going to say original but I'm pretty sure it's actually not)

This is so blindly greedy it's just going to be a meh gangster movie with Scarface slapped on the title for attention.
That or it's going to be an over the top action movie with crappy one liners attempting to imitate the original but with more explosions.

Unless a movie was terrible but had a great concept don't remake it...

An imitation will rarely surpass the quality of the original since most of the best ideas have already been done. Seeing them repeated with a different polish doesn't have the same effect. Basically Hollywood is f***ing stupid.

I don't get the notion that a remake or sequel will ruin the already good first movie. Scarface will remain a classic no matter the reception of the new movie, relax.

There's also a Secret of NIMH remake coming with 3D animation and written by the same guy who wrote Ice Age 4 and one of the writers from the Transformers movies.

Sweet.(Obvious sarcasm)

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

Pacino's Scarface was amazing, and I don't think it needs a remake. I'll probably see it though. I did love Pacino's.

No, absolutely not, it might ruin the franchise, as Godfather Scarface also is a golden classic. Which should never ever has to be redone, especially in this time where only money matters and not the quality

What did Dragon Ball Evolution did to the DB franchise, ruined it like hell, especially among those who doesnt even know the anime or manga exists

Not really comparable. That's something transitioning from cartoon to live-action format. Besides, you don't have to watch that, and I don't think anyone really remembers Evolution when Z is brought up.

You won't need to watch this remake, but you should perhaps be a tad more optimistic about it. Look at all the great movies and television that has popped up over the years.

Well it's never going to be as good so what's the point.

After you watch it once:

"Hey let's watch Scarface"
"The good one or the s*** one?"

Are any 80's movie remakes even good? I can't think of any that surpass the original.
Halloween(franchise went on in to the 80's) remake was awful.
So was Friday 13th.
Nightmare On Elm Street was...passable.
The Thing was nowhere near as good as the 80's version.

Can't remember any others.

What are they even going to do with the story in modern times? The thing was that heaps of immigrants came to North America and tons of them were criminals, political tensions were running high and whatnot...there's nothing similar going on in modern days yes there are immigrants but they couldn't add that and keep it similar.
So it's probably gong to be a different movie entirely called Scarface because money.
Maybe the guy will have a scar on his face but that's it.

Scarface-franchise? There's one movie, hardly a franchise. And DBE didn't ruin DB/DBZ at all, it only did if you think that way and then it's your own fault.

It is my own fault that they made a horrible job by making dragon ball as a live action? Man Look Rurouni Kenshin Live Action now that is something worth mentioning. I didnt even know there is just a manga until I watched the first live action of the trilogy. It was that good it made me to read the manga and watch the anime. Imagine the same with evolution, if somebody watched evolution first, he/she wont start to watch the anime or the manga at all
