Same circumstances as with the Android saga except no interference from Cell or Z Warriors or Androids. Who would've won had the fight continued? |

Actually have no idea! Could go either way. I'm leaning more towards 17, but really it's impossible to predict. Just quietly, pretty sure this topic has been done before. Went around in circles considering they're even  interested to see if anything has changed in people's minds though! Last time i said 17 and Im sticking to it

As hard as it gets, truth always bitters. 17 wins. Piccolo was tired & had their fight lasted even longer, Piccolo's stamina & strength would drain. Will end up getting ROFL stomp! |

That's provided piccolo doesn't hit 17 with the light grenade... but at the same time i totally agree that piccolo would get tired and out done before then... Bahhh these damn even competitors! Sure makes sticking to your guns difficult >=( |

Yeah, I'm kinda stuck here too. Had the idea Piccolo just edges power-wise, but #17 has that infinite energy that makes him more durable. If Piccolo were to win I guess he'd have to make quick work of him. Use Hellzone and Light Grenade early on. Perhaps injure him, destroy limbs and such, #17 would have to just make the match last long. Edited by Ginyu, Mar 6 2015, 08:13 AM.

I love both of these characters. The fight was a great fight in the show and very evenly matched. I think that the trouble is Piccolo would be able to put up a good fight for a while but eventually grow tired. Without interference from anybody else, Android 17 wouldn't become tired at all and would more than likely be able to endure through anything Piccolo threw at him. |

The fight was animated by Uchiyama Masayuki & Ebisawa Yuki (arguably worst animators of TOEI). Whats great abt the fight really? There were better even-fights (with gorgeous animation) as Goku vs Cell (No More Rules), SS2 Goku/Kid Buu (episode 279) & Goku vs Uub (Goku's next Journey) Piccolo/17 doesnt hold a candle to those even matches |

What exactly has that got to do with anything? That's your own opinion and won't change the fact that I enjoyed that match up in the show. |

Piccolo could have won. Piccolo almost killed #17 in two different situations. I think Piccolo's Light Grenade as the 3rd attempt could have been the finisher for #17. That's the Light Grenade he used against Cell, when Cell interrupted his fight against #17.

The fight could really go either way as some of the post already mentioned above.But, I think piccolo might pull this off by making 17 commit some kind of mistake. Furthermore, piccolo might win against 17 if he manages to block the sun and/or it's rays from reaching the area they fight this would cut off the 17's constant power supply/power replenish unit.But, piccolo has to figure this out fast or else the chances of winning for him are slim unless of course 17 commits a mistake. |

I want to give piccolo the benefit of the doubt but 17 doesn't run out of stamina so eventually I think he would've won unless piccolo lands an amped attack |

Lapis is most likely claims the kill unless Piccolo manages to turn the tables somehow. Piccolo was already showing signs of fatigue before Cell stepped in while Lapis was in near tip-top condition. |

Wait, are you saying the sun is what provides the androids energy? Or am I missing something very obvious here?  When is that stated? I never heard that until now. Just curious, that's all. Anyway, 17 would win unless he was too cocky to fight seriously and Piccolo took advantage of that to finish him off in a fast manner. But under regular circumstances 17 would win. He was going to win against Piccolo if Cell didn't show up, so we have no reasons to assume he couldn't do it again. Piccolo did technically have the strength to win in a fight against Android 17, but he didn't have the endurance. Furhtermore, android barrier is a b*** and 17 would have to be VERY distracted for any of Piccolo's stronger moves to actually hit him since he could just block them with the barrier. |
