Even if we ignore his confidence against a Goku stronger than the one that defeated Piccolo, Yamcha managed to fare better against Kami (albeit in a weaker body) than Post Water Goku who was finger flicked like a paper football.

I ♥ Yoeri Posts: 20,075 Group: Legend Member #8,985 Joined: February 7, 2013 Country Japan	I think only Tenshinhan surpassed Piccolo Daimao at this point, he's the only one who expected to challenge Goku. Krillin was really close and definitely was stronger than old Piccolo, and so were Yamcha I think. None of those two beat Prime Piccolo Daimao though.

Krillin and Yamcha still thought Goku's speed was godlike despite Tenshinhan stating that it wasn't much different than it was three years ago. Kami was holding back versus Yamcha. Ten was amazed by Kami's power against Piccolo stating that they far surpass any level even conceivable despite seeing his performance against Yamcha. Their respect for Goku's speed is too big of a factor here. They would beat the snot out of Old Daimao though, if that dampens the wetness of the blow.
