Alrighty then, bringing this back from the grave. Superman is of course Post Crisis and there are two rounds, one for BOG Goku and the other for GT Goku.

King Kakarot and FutureProtagonist were clogging up the Toph vs Gaara thread, I made this one for that

Hey, if we're pointing fingers here, supersaqer was the one who brought it up, k? ;)

Anyway, Goku doesn't stand a chance because powerscaling contradicts the Manga. Nothing in the manga suggests Goku has power anywhere near Superman (or near what powerscaling gives him). We can't know Goku's physical stats because it would all be conjecture. Superman's are made much more clear.

I still got the like, good enough for me sir.

Back to the plot. I'll say actual GT Goku can easily handle Post Crisis Supes. Maybe even end of Z Goku. Kal El has a hard egde in physical strength and probably total speed. Goku's IT seems to make up the speed edge since he has no clear and apparent limit on it as a Super Saiyan Four in GT. And frankly I think while Supes has the better endurance, a fed Son holds the stamina gold medal. Close game but I feel like that Ultimate Kamehameha Blast should finish the game for Superman. Win by KO but not a kill.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Superman has crazy stamina even when sun deprived for multiple days. With it, being godly. I don't think Goku has shown anything stamina wise that competes with Post-Crisis Supes' stamina feats.

All-Star Superman is what I'm thinking of. Just benching the weight of Earth for multiple days without any sunlight.

Nah, I'm pretty sure I was mid eighties post crisis supes that got killed by Doomsday under the cover of night. Wanna say 1986? Could be wrong, I could barely read at that age. Hell it may have been early 90s, its been years.

All-Star Superman was one of the last Post-Crisis Comics if memory serves, shouldn't we take the more recent showing to mind?

In fairness on that one, Doomsday was basically the anti-Superman. With everything of his on par, if not better than Superman. Superman only won with an out of orbit spinning corkscrew piledriver DDT no?

I thought it was a regenerative coma? Regardless, after that fantastic display of artistry that would make Gordon Ramsey cry tears of joy, it would be a jerk move to no-sell it.

I think he is too, but they wrote All-Star Superman in 2006-2008. Doomsday wrecking Supes' ish was written in the early 90's. Much more time to build up his power.

Oh of course. I still have the comics, it was one hell of a fight.

But no, he died when they wrote it. Fanboyism resurrected him because there was no such thing as a regenerative coma before that came up. So as far as we're all concerned he died and was resurrected three spinoffs later, truly making him the Son of DC.

That said, All-Star is way too far away from crisis to really lump him in there. At least I think so. He almost fits in his own little era, since it was pretty much a different title.

I don't know man, where does one draw the line at what they can exclude outside of spin-offs and non-canon crossovers and non-canon stories? There's gotta be a line drawn somewhere, otherwise we end up with a pick and choose cherry fest of extravagant proportions. Chaos personally isn't my favorite poison, although that may be because of Warhammer 40K.

At the EoZ point, Goku's destructive capabilities go WAY beyond a Supernova-level, so he'll be able to hurt, damage, and probably knock the hell of out of Supes.
Post-Crisis Supes is one of the least stronger versions, and even him flying at high speeds against a moon can knock him out. Also, he doesn't breath in space. He just holds his breath.

Multi-Solar System/Galaxy busters are very capable of owning Supes.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.
