Both kind of a bummer and kind of cool.
I wanted to see ASM 3 I thought 2 was fine not sure what the issue was...
Also it's going to be really weird having Spiderman just kinda thrown in the MCU at this stage.

I hope they don't Disney-fy him and his movies too much...

I feel like Avengers could become a bit of a mess with Spiderman included presumably in Avengers 3.

This could be a good start towards getting the Spider-Man we want. I didn't have a problem with either of the Garfield films either but I understand the dislike for them.

With all of Marvel's billions, why can't they just buy the rights outright? Why is a weak a*** company like Sony still controlling the money?

FINALLY.

God f***ing damnit, it took them a long time to get the rights for Spidey. And now Marvel will do something to make us forget those "darker" and "more adult" Mark Webb movies.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

I don't see a problem with their being dark parts to his movies.
They better not make him child friendly spider-hug-man who can't even punch people. Or lame sarcastic sidekick to the MCU.

I was kinda excited to see what ASM3 would have been like.

But I think this'll be cool. I'm curious about who they're gonna cast as Spider-Man and the others.

Yeah there's never been anyone quite "right" has there?

I just wonder what they'll do with his origins it sounds like he'll be in a team up before his origin movie.
So which are we getting, High School Peter or College Peter?

Because if it's college Peter then where the hell was he in Avengers!?

I hope he's written in well not just there because...because Spiderman!

I guess the New York thing could have just been how he got his powers or something idk. makes sense I guess the alien dudes maybe blew up a lab he was in or whatever.

Please God not the guy from Maze Runner he's such a boring actor.

I'm in the minority for having liked TASM2. That being said, there is a part of me that thinks it would be great to see him swinging around with the Avengers. Spidey isn't my favorite comic book character, but I do enjoy him and think he's at his best when he's wisecracking on a team.

That said, I really don't want to sit through another origin story for a character I'm overly familiar with.

I think they were going to introduce Venom in ASM3. But given how they handled Lizard, Electro, Goblin and Rhino in the ASM series, I will always prefer the little screentime he got in Spider-Man 3.

I actually also liked TASM2. I don't think it's a great movie, though. I did enjoy a few parts, but that's it. I went to the theater and I enjoyed it far more than TASM.

I'm very happy about this, but I knew once Sony was hacked again that it was only a matter of time before Sony and Marvel talked again and made a deal this time.

The Amazing Spiderman was alright, but I do prefer Andrew Garfield over Tobey Maguire... don't like him or his style at all, but I do hold a special place in my heart for the first Spiderman and the first X-men because they pretty much resurrected the Comic Book Franchise in Hollywood, and I do admit the second Spiderman had a better story and was just better, but Tobey rubs me the wrong way.

But I am going way off topic here, I can't wait to see Spiderman in upcoming Marvel Movies, and I don't think Marvel will be stupid enough to screw it up and make him campy or anything like that. Because this is the first step for Marvel completely getting the rights back in the future, if they did something stupid like screw up the character... then Marvel will probably not get the rights back until it's the eleventh hour for Sony and they have to sell the rights back. Marvel playing smart means they can sweet talk their way into more leeway and possibly getting more of the rights as time goes on... now this is only one way to look at it, Marvel might just be buying their time until it's the eleventh hour for Sony and buys the rights back, but this deal could just be going on until whenever. Either way this is a good thing and now with Marvel Studios involved, Spiderman should get the proper treatment and will hopefully make it past three Movies and keep going too.
