All caught up. That was some amazing fighting in the last canon chapter. I'm intrigued about the creator of the universe reincarnated into Oob. He's the dude from the Dawn of Time, eh? Oob should be really amazing from here on out. What does Zueva look like again? Can you provide a picture or even draw her? Nice picture of Griever/Squall. I like his expression. haha. |

Did I write that? Woops, I meant for it to be that Boo was one of the monsters created at the beginning of the universe by The Great Hyne, but by Boo making his power be based on the evil in the hearts of sentient beings he avoided certain death and/or sealing on the moon. Oob is still the reincarnation of Boo, Ultimecia was just looking into the history of that specific time shard to understand who Boo is.
Well, even though he isn't the reincarnation of Boo and The Great Hyne, there's still glory to come for Oob. If there is any interaction between Oob and The Great Hyne, I'm positive it will be very interesting considering Boo snuck under TGH's all seeing gaze.
That would help eh? I might need to enlist the help of another drawer in order to draw the female frame correctly. I quite frankly suck at it.
Thank you, although that's specifically Squall with full control of his body again. That'll be I guess the way to tell if it's Squall or Griever, if he has horns or not. |

Yes, I totally understand, and that makes perfect sense. TGH sounds like the upmost powerful being of the universe. Now, according to your context, TGH was around the Dawn of Time, but I wonder if he has anything with the creation. He created Boo, who goes really far as a divine being. It all adds up, so it makes me wonder what TGH is capable of. |

I should mention, the specials (unless I specify) are canon to the story. I labelled it a special because it isn't necessary (as it stands, it may be necessary for some background info later on) in order to understand what's going on and they function as more flashbacks than anything else. |

Well (a slight dodge here) your current set is essentially the comic version of your story, so I'd say that's about as close to canon as you can get outside of a picture of the text. What I have right now... My current avi is from Ultimecia's appearance in Dissidia Duodecim, which is non-canon to Final Fantasy 8, let alone my story which is supposed to take place in between the final part of FF8 and Post DBZ. The sig I suppose could be used as an image of Ultimecia relaxing in someone's head, figuring out s***. |

Although we already have so many different sorts of powers going on, I still have to find room to involve the main way the people of FF8 gain their power normally, so strap in tight everybody. We're still going to have quite a bit of untamed ground in terms of the FF8 characters in here... and maybe the Z Fighters depending on the circumstances. |

At last I've made some good progress with this story after putting it off for so long. Not that I didn't want to read it, after the mind f*** Beerus chapter I was eager to read it from the get go but once I saw it had Final Fantasy involved it scared me off lol. To say Final Fantasy's continuity(ies) are daunting would be a big understatement. Onto the story! I really like that you've decided to incorporate more Majin Boo things into Oob, a common issue I have with him is that most writers just give him Kaio-Ken and that's the beginning, middle and end of what he can do. I also like Vegeta getting SSJ4 as an alternate means of keeping up with the others. It makes him stand out more from the rest and avoids the standard SSJ pitfall of de-valuing it by giving it to everyone who's got even a hint of Saiyan blood in them. The fight scenes flow very smoothly, really giving you the important details without bogging things down with superfluous details that do little to add to the proceedings. I just wish I had a better understanding of Final Fantasy lore to truly appreciate this because, for all the things I like, that lack of knowledge keeps me from understanding things like Squall as a character or the true scope of the threat. |

I can see why it's daunting, but rest assured I'm only doing FF8's continuity here. So you don't have to worry about Cloud or Sephiroth making any surprise appearances. The only person here who doesn't have any tangible (or rather AAA media) is Rain and that's due to the fact he started out as an RP character that I ended up writing a story for. I'll likely explain more regarding him as this story goes on.
Thank you, I thought that if I give Boo some more... backstory and explanation regarding his existence that it'd make his incorporation into Oob more appealing. Regarding Oob I plan on having Boo being a major influence on the way he acts as he becomes more accustomed to Boo having an active role in his life. Truth be told, doing this for Oob is incredibly similar to what I have regarding Squall and Griever, so it's unfortunately not as original as I planned it to be originally.
Indeed, I plan on this being an exclusive thing for Vegeta due to the method of which he achieved it. This also has ramifications in the future as I think I've shown regarding the mage-scientist that casted said spell and harvested some DNA from Vegeta to use.
Luckily, as a result of my readers not being well versed in FF8, I'll be doing some in depth explanations of some of the things I'm bringing over from FF8. If you're currently stuck on understanding some of these things then it's not a cause to fret, I'll be bringing new concepts in slowly and with explanations regarding them. Also, I'll also be doing some journal entries for characters that might make journal entries such as Squall or Gohan alongside the specials and chapters. So as to offer some insight into their perspective on the events that unfold. Unfortunately this also means that people like Goku or Vegeta will not be making journal entries. |

You know, instead of letting this chapter get underway I do have to voice some complaints, if you don't mind writer. Might I ask who this is? It's Griever, while I'm recuperating in that Squall boy's mind I feel like I should atleast talk to somebody. Figured it'd be nice to talk to the person that's going ahead and writing my story. Alright, but if I can ask you one question before I start answering any you might have, how in the hell are you doing this? Aside from you trying to procrastinate from writing that Saiyan guy and that ape fight by writing me the ability to break the fourth wall and carry on a text conversation with a fanfic writer... I thought it would be nice if this whole "Ancient God" business actually meant something. It's like, oh, I could be just very powerful in a physical sense, but it would be even more intimidating if I could just say time out and chill here. You know, really screw with their minds. You're saying that I am unintentionally writing you to be able to give yourself powers on the fly? That is EXACTLY what I am saying, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Of course I am a tad biased given that it's ME we're talking about here. Thanks for pointing that out, I'll make sure to quit that in the future and retcon this ability of your's. In that case, can you please start writing more frequently? I'm not a big fan of having literally no idea of what to do, was planning on just writing this out by myself if this continued. It's like, everytime you give us a minute of action we have to take a month or two break of being in utter confusion. I'm almost certain that Saiyan has picked up a drug habit and Boo has been asleep for a long time. Squall won't shut the hell up, the worst part is that since you haven't written me recuperating any, I can't just take back over to keep him quiet. It's killing me honestly, I feel like I've aged at least a few years. Fine, is there anything else before I get this underway? Actually yeah, what's up with that charcoal black armour Zueva wears? It's a remnant from an old version of this story. Ahh, in that case I will be heading back. Alrighty... Need to make sure I'm not unconsciously influencing my characters from now on... I do apologize for the delay everybody, I am currently writing the next chapter. |

Would you guys be interested in reading a little vs match I wrote like a year or two ago? It includes the old version of Griever and a younger version of Rain. It was never completed, but it was somewhat lengthy. |
