The only thing we’re allowed to believe is that we won’t regret the choice we made.

Is it any good?

its like all fan service, with some decent fights, story is for toddlers though
if it had a more gripping story then it would have been decent
but imo its w/e there are some decent parts in the manga but overall its nothing great, nothing horrible

I think it's great. I've been really enjoying it and while it is fairly predictable (like many of it's genre tbh) it is definitely up there in my favourites right now.

It's not super deep but I reckon it's plenty good story wise.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

It's pretty decent for like the first 60 episodes and then an arc near the end of the first season is good.

But overall it just drags and drags and you know exactly what's going to happen at every turn.
HINT: good guys pretty much always win, with the power of FRIENDSHIP

It has some cool powers and some cool...looking villains, that get built up and built up then ultimately get owned within an episode or two.

Basically nobody dies either, even when hit with attacks that should obviously kill them or stated "super" magics that...leave people alive and well half the time.

If you have nothing else to watch I can't say I'd "recommend" it but it's something to watch, at the very least.
Plus fanservice.

That's pretty much what I thought about Hunter x Hunter. The story is generic and I just couldn't get into it.

My husband loves Fairy Tail, but I'm not a fan.
I'm more into grittier or darker, more complex anime. Dragon Ball being an exception.

The anime is spelled "Fairy Tail".

Novacane for the pain

I find it to be pretty terrible tbh, one of my least liked series. I used to be a fan but it just gets worse as it goes along. I feel like it takes some of the worst aspects of Shonen and amplifies them. In particular, it's abundant with "power of friendship", one note and generic villains, underdeveloped romance being shoved in your face, a story that sort of bounces around without much direction, heroes surviving situations when they really shouldn't etc.

Also really gratuitous fanservice. Ffs, we don't need a panty shot of Erza every five panels when she's in the middle of a fight....

hunter x hunter can be generic as far as story goes sometimes
BUT does have that darker tone you're looking for sure
and is not predictable either but to each their own
we all cant like the same things right ^_^

Like Steve said, it was good for like 60 episodes and then just gets old fast

There's a lot I have to complain about it I've ranted about it a few times now but to put it simply it's not a good series IMO

How is HxH generic? How far did you get?

Because it gets fairly dark and gritty.

As for Fairy Tail like all of the female characters should be in debt with how often their clothes are ripped.
Virtually any attack and their clothes are wrecked in such a way that like 80% of each breast is showing but not the nipple.
Every female except the children at least or ones with small breasts.

It's kind of hard to take it seriously as some noble story of justice like Hiro suggested it was when it's full of such perversion...

My bad. Its Fairy Tail. The show is so bad, can't even spell the anime name right lol.

HxH - Chimera Ant arc is one of the darkest arc I've ever seen for a Shonen type series. I recommend everyone watching this arc.
