The fact that even Vegetto himself was surprised at the way he was making of mockery of Boo pretty indicates that even he wasn't expecting the gap to be as big as it was. Unless you have a an extremely low SSJ multiplier, there's no way you can have something like Base Vegetto near Boohan and then have Vegetto be surprised he's kicking Boo's tail once he transforms.

Vegetto could be 2x stronger or so and still do exactly what he did to Boohan as he did. Sometimes I"m nice and I give a lot more such as a 10x advantage but usually I put in about a 5x difference just for my own sake I think. But I can't give Vegetto some insane 30-40x gap or something, not with what's stated in the manga. It just doesn't fit with the idea that Vegetto himself was surprised at the gap as well. Which is why I often believe that the rivalry boost helped push it along. It's not like anyone told them being rivals would help the fusion as well.

I think that Vegetto knew he'd have a significant, one might say even overwhelming advantage once he transformed, after all he knew he needed to push all options out of Boo, but I think that rivalry boost helped to push his power beyond even his perspective at the time.
It's not only that, but during the fight we can observe Super Saiyan Vegetto putting noticeable effort into his attacks and defenses at time. Such instances include:

- when he deflected Boo's first ki beam (gritting his teeth with a "serious" face on).
- when he grabbed Boo by the leg and tossed him into the rocks (again we can see a serious expression while he's yelling).

He had his aura up until shortly after that, when he took it down after blasting Boo to bits.

He decided to evade the Kamikaze Ghost Attacks instead of taking them head-on, which doesn't necessarily mean he couldn't have survived had they come into contact with him, but it should still be considered due to him citing the fact that the attack didn't succeed because it was childish, not because it wouldn't have harmed him, implying if it was more intricate and less straight-forward it might've been a problem.

In a matter of straight-up combat, Vegetto had no problem tooling Boo, even with his feet alone. He didn't have an aura up while he was doing this, seemingly smiling in one panel (though the detail isn't all that great).

The fight showed to me that Vegetto certainly had an impressive gap. It didn't show to me anything warranting him being several times as strong as Boo, not when he showed effort in some of his attacks.
I'm glad someone else mentions that Vegetto dodged Super Boohan 's Kamikaze Ghost attack.

Was it necessary for him to dodge that attack? I don't know, but the fact is he dodge it.

I have him around around x2-5 stronger than Super Boohan because Boohan can't even get pass Super Vegetto's legs.

I his base above Super Bootenks and use a smaller multiplier for fusion characters.

This is why I believe he was just playing it safe, because the longer the fight went on the more comfortable he looked and the easier he made it look.

I'm not arguing against you, I'm just saying Vegetto dodged his attack for whatever reason.

Maybe like SS1 Goku and Freeza [50%].

I know you weren't arguing my point... at times if I feel like I should bring something up again, I'll post it.

It'll get to a point where you'll be as used to it as everyone else. :p
