He can survive an AA gun but he bleeds due to a sword swing?
Now that I think about it, it would make sense he would become much stronger 1000 years later, since when they turn to stone the Sun gives them all the power they need, and since they were stone for a whole millennia, I guess Goliath became much stronger and tougher after so many years.

It's the only logical explanation I have right now.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

That seems like grounds for disputing his durability. They have a clip of him bleeding from a sword in the video and yet bring up the AA gun feat. Not to mention that he was wounded by a WW2 machine gun, yet he could shrug off a more beefy AA gun.
You know a Kevlar vest can tank bullets, but a knife to the chest still pierces it. Not a question of a bullet proof vest being bullet proof, just the modality of the injury.
The problem is that Goliath's hide isn't like kevlar. Kevlar is like a bunch of nets, made to slow down the bullet since the bullet doesn't have constant energy behind it. A knife is a lot sharper and has constant energy behind, it therefore it can pierce through. Goliath's hide isn't a bunch of interweaved nets though.

He would be getting stronger every day in the modern times as well. Shouldn't that make Season 1 Goliath<<<<EOS Goliath?

Well, Goliath has been through a lot of powerful enemies. The Sun not only makes him more powerful, but if he needs to, the Sun will cure him from any wounds or even poison.
According to some crazy scientist from the show, the stone-transformation thing is similar to hibernation. It allows them to come back as strong as they were yesterday. If they didn't use this hibernation technique, they would have to eat at least 3 cows every day.

However since Goliath ages, I'm pretty sure he becomes stronger and more skilled each day.

And now, we have the final middle finger. Kal-El vs Kakarot, Round 2.

I would love that, but it would make the DBZ fans have a second heartattack. I bet it's going to end in a tie

They already kind of are considering they seem to not be able to comprehend max potential versions. News Flash guys, Superman has a MUUUUUCCCCHHHH longer lifespan than Goku that he can spend just chilling in the sun.

[Frothing intensifies]

Honestly I think both the analysis and fight have allot more respect to both than I expected, so that's nice at least.

The fight was way too unrealistic. Goku should have been dead in a millisecond. I seriously don't get the appeal of Superman, he can do basically anything, how can he ever be in danger? Other than the whole krytonite thing.

In any case I really dislike Death Battles, if they just skipped the whole analysis bit I could enjoy them as a fun video made for entertainment, where the fighters are always put close to power for the purpose of the fight to be entertaining, but by doing 15 minute long analysis it means we're forced to believe this is how they actually believe a fight would go down, and they create so many damn errors.

They've said themselves that the battles are just there for entertainment, honestly I just take the fight itself on the same level as one minute melee, almost entirely there simply for entertainment. Heck I've even skipped the longer battles before to get to the end analysis.

As for how Superman is in danger, the best stories of Superman almost never rely on "will Superman win?" But on whether he's doing the right thing, if he's outdated, what he could have had had Krypton not blown up.
Especially in Superman vs The Elite/what's so funny any Truth Justice and the American Way, the fight was practically just a backdrop for their argument.

Edit: what's the next battle gonna be anyway? Who's Knuckles taking on?

Because some of Superman's enemies have lots of hostages(Darkseid), some of them can attack his mind(Manchester Black), some use magic(Black Adam), some have the unlimited schtick going on(Doomsday), some can take his powers(Parasite), and some do use Kryptonite(Metallo).
