Ushio is a self proclaimed high school cop, I highly doubt that he's anything impressive. It's was their defining character moment and possibly one of the better scenes in Season 0, it's not really an outlier at that point if it sets the ground rules that a big kid with an ego was able to stomp them without breaking a sweat.

Even though they've beaten trained bodyguards later in the series? These guys are human, its not the super powered generalized nonsense that we get in dragon ball. Besides, no plot if Joey and Tristan didn't get beaten.

Who says Pegasus's bodyguards were trained? Plenty of security guards are pretty much bouncer.

And it's their defining moment, it's kind of like saying that Freeza's telekinesis blowing up Krillin is an outlier(not in power, in control)

What millionaire megalomaniac that has a convoluted plan to steal a giant gaming corporation and a priceless dark magic artifact from ancient Egypt doesn't hire trained bodyguards? I know Pegasus is nuts, but he's not stupid. If I was so stupid rich that I could afford to pay for a CHILDREN'S TRADING CARD GAME TOURNAMENT on my own PRIVATE ISLAND and had the insurance so that A BUNCH OF TEENAGERS AND COLLEGE KIDS could come out there and battle on FOOTBALL FIELD SIZED HOLOGRAM TABLES and get away with it, I think I have the money and foresight to hire some goddamned trained mother f***ing body guards! I am not going up to random guys in suits on the street and saying "Hey you look like you'd look tough in a suit and sunglasses, do you want to be my bodyguard?" That sounds significantly less reasonable!

And it is kind of an outlier. Is there any real reason that Frieza couldn't have just finished the whole fight by blowing Goku up right then and there? Yes there is, plot. If Joey and Tristan took down Ushio, then there is no reason for Yami to show up at all. Plot >> Logic >/= Feats >> Statements. Plot won that one in a rofl stomp. In the same way that Kaiba Roflstomps Gary Effing Oak here and why isn't this thread locked for being trollzy and spiteful!?!?

Pegasus didn't need bodyguards, Bandit Keith knows that

And yes, the thread is dumb. In a fist fight, Kaiba is going to beat him down but in a monster fight, Kaiba has no monsters to battle with and so Gary owns

He has plenty of monsters! Three Blue Eyes White Dragons and their fused and evolved forms, Battle Ox, La Jinn, Penten and Saggi, Vorse Raider, a dozen other assorted Dragons, Kaiba's got plenty to work with.

Kaiba's got no magic though, he'll be flinging pieces of paper at actual monsters. Unless it's in the Millenium World, but that's not exactly typical

My thread's not trollish simply because you want it to be. Gary has a good chance. Dragons are weak against Ice, and flying dragons have a double weakness as well as a rock weakness. Blue-Eyes Ultimate is a triple flying-dragon type, so Ice Beam is gonna OHKO. Easily. Stop it. It's an easily attainable TM, and Gary's so effin smart, dude. He's so effin smart...

All of those other cards... eh. I mean Crush Card's okay, but if Kaiba can have traps and magics then antidotes are choice, as well as one of Gary's many unseen Pokémon that are powerful beyond belief.

Earnestly, I think people have been a bit trollish and spiteful in this thread, and I, for one, am very disappointed in you guys. I'm going to have to call it a win for Gary and call this thread done for. Next time, guys, show a little tact and be a little more balanced.
