The trailer was such a tease for an epic recall to the Namek arc, with Goku and Vegeta's roles switched and I really thought that would be a wonderful testament to both of their characters and how they've changed. I'm sure that must have been intentional by whoever made that trailer, it's such a bait and switch. Now I've made final peace with the fact that it'll always be the Goku show for ever and ever. I doubt even Gohan will get a chance to shine again let alone the anti-hero. Now my main gripe is just the completely uncreative way Freeza powers up. He trains...for a few months. There's plenty of massive leaps in power in this series, sure, but they mostly have an explanation. Newly discovered zenkais, gravity training, fusion and magic rituals. Freeza's has no explanation at all, other than 'he's really strong but never decided to maximise his power despite knowing about ssjs, Majin Boos and Gods of Destruction. It completely undermines every other villain since and the hilariously slow (in hindsight) progression of the saiyans' power.

Vegeta was killed by Freeza 4th form. A weak guy. Vegeta not only a pussy he's a loser.
Also Vegeta NEVER rushed into battle during Namek Arc and even Boo arc. Vegeta didn't learn sh*t except maybe working together with Goku. And you're using spam and double standard wrong. Had Goku done the same but no one complainng that's a double standard.
Uh, Freeza ain't weak, and technically the lack of air killed Vegeta. The Saibaiman actually killed Yamcha with his own energy. Vegeta became cocky after the Freeza arc, and he did charge into battle several times in the Boo arc. It is a double standard, you see. You're calling Vegeta a pussy for backing down from a challenge, and you're calling Vegeta an idiot for wanting a challenge in facing Cell's perfect form.
Who caused lack of air? Freeza. Freeza beat Vegeta. End of story. That's like saying the gun killed MLK not the shooter. Common sense. 4th Form Freeza is weak compared to BLUE SSJ VEGETA dude. Freeza killed Vegeta with his own energy as his caused planet to go BOOM. I've never called Vegeta an idiot. Please don't put sh*t in my mouth. I called him a pussy for being scared yes. Also called him a loser cause that's what he is. A f***ing loser. Just now he's a pussy.

1991 Vegeta was Freeza's b*tch
2015 Vegeta is still a b*tch.

Dude, calm down
That's just how I post. Lots of swearing as I swear in real life. Never to it actually. No feeling at all.

Unless you mock Goten. ALL HELL BREAK LOOSE if you say something about him.

Am I the only one who doesn't mind Gohan not being a great warrior? It's not like the idea ever interested him that much.

Gohan's my favourite character and I have no problem with his role in BoG and RoF, other than the whole Super Saiyan thing.

And you know full well that that's not what I meant. With Whis, the Dragonballs, and the Saiyans being better fighters, Freeza was never a threat to begin with because even if he won, it would just be undone by the Dragonballs or Whis. There is no tension in the plot because of this
That's essentially the whole plot of Dragon Ball. Use this logic and you should dislike the whole series.

If you're lookin' to Dragon Ball for tension, you're looking in the wrong place. The point is, Freeza did the best with what he had, and at the end of the day, that's what matters. He almost won despite the impossible odds.

No it's not, no offense but it really isn't. If Vegeta defeated Goku in the Saiyan arc nothing would be undone, if Frieza won the battle on Namek then everything would be pretty much over. The same goes for Cell the last Kamehameha battle would decide the fate on the entire universe if Gohan would have lost no turning back then. Buu made the whole universe desperate (not Kid Buu).

It's true that in DBZ the DragonBalls do come in handy but only after the battle is won. In FNF it seems that even after they were defeated Whis just rewrite it.

Don't get me wrong, for what I hear about this movie it's propably gonna be my favorite, the action, plot and new form look just awesome, and this time travel is cool to.

Past the Cell saga the drama has been reduced dramatically. The good guys just have too many options now.

Fusion
Potara
Ssjg
Old kaioshin ritual
Good Boo absorption
Spirit bomb
DragonBalls
More DragonBalls on Namek
Whis' time reversal
King Enma sending warriors back for a day
Kais trading their lives
ROSAT
Senzu beans
Healers (Dende, Kaioshin and Boo)

I mean Freeza had absolutely no chance in hell. At this point the villains are the underdogs and I always root for the underdog.

The Dragon Balls are easily the worst. At least Whis has a 3 minute time limit on his part and we hope may be a bit more neutral on the whole thing. But goodness, there's no tension with the Dragon Balls. Even if something happens on Earth, they've got Namek. There's nothing at all to lead to any tension. Heck that's probably why Gohan and everyone else was mostly just "meh" the entire time when Freeza blew up the Earth.

Gohan probably just pulled out his phone, dialed and:

Gohan: Hello? Namek? Yeah we need some assistance can you get your Dragon Balls? Wait....yeah...yeah...cancel that Namek Whis is turning back time, have a good day...bye."

One of the things that bugs me about some of the early synopsis/summaries is the mention of SSJG appearing over Goku during his training with Whis.

I failed to see this during the movie, and I just tried to catch this again on some clips.

Not seeing it.

Then again, these are the summaries claiming Golden Frieza was even with SSJGSSJ Goku and Vegeta is a coward.

As true as this should be, they sorta gloss over the Namekian Dragon Balls in this film...

I don't recall this being mentioned in the synopses. I do know this happens in the manga adaptation though. As far as Vegeta "nervously declining" Goku's offer, Vegeta did stutter, which can be construed as a sign of nervousness. I do think people make a too big a deal out of this regardless.

Still, you gotta admit, as far as dubbing goes, that's a pretty fast localisation of a 2015 movie, and to more than likely get an English home release by year's end! How long did it take BoG to get dubbed?
