It's called mystic Freeza ..he unlocked his potential :) guess he needs to work on that stamina though. This just proves to me Freeza will be back again. His time is not over, it's blatantly obvious.

Wouldn't it be crazy if he just joins the z fighters? I wonder who will be against that... We all warmed up to vegeta and piccolo.

Now there's a series too.. at some point he'll be revived or freed by one of the gods. I'm guessing he'll betray said god and terrorize the Z fighters again.

Freeza is somewhat different to Piccolo and Vegeta. Piccolo was evil incarnate so he really had no choice at all and Vegeta, whilst a ruthless killer, has a natural instinct and need for battle that was easily corrupted. The saiyans may have fought each other savagely but it'd have been more for sport and honour and to gain strength. Freeza introduced them to genocide and was essentially the one who sanctioned all the evil done in the name of the PTO. I can't imagine him settling down on Earth as one of the good guys.

There's simply no way Freeza will ever be one of the good guys. He's just been implanted as too much of a villain to ever take that step into even anti-heroic mode. He's a huge blatant racist, homocidal maniac with absolutely zero qualities to qualify him as a hero.

I mean even Vegeta at his worst, didn't show on screen or page even half even a quarter of the things Freeza has done. This is the guy who basically smacked out any and all mercy Goku had in his life for other enemies. They had to create an entirely new concept of Hell just to hold this guy. In fact if at all possible, RoF made him even more evil.

For one they kept everything that made him evil, but at least before Freeza didn't go around just butchering his own men (manga at least.) But then here comes Rof, he's blowing up his men out into space, killing all the other men, and is so filled with revenge that he's literally making the same stamina mistake he did on Namek just so he can quickly pop up 2,00,000,000,000,000x in 4 months and get a new form just so he can beat the ever loving spit out of Goku.

All of his men are like "dude, Freeza, calm down!"

And Freeza's just murdering everything in sight and twisting all the rules and it doesn't matter what you say. He is the boss, he is the #1 mother****er in this universe and if you don't like that, you can go kill yourself.

That's Freeza and that's not going to change any time soon.

Lol pretty much sums it up. Freeza is a villain to the core, he'll probably rather die than join forces with the seiyans that took everything away from him. However....the enemy of my enemy is my friend. I wouldn't put anything past Freeza to get the upper hand if needed.

Someone get me up to speed. Apparently Vegeta didn't back down from fighting Freeza because he was scared, it was something else. And apparently Freeza was whooping Goku's a*** before his chi started decreasing, unlike the synopsis stating they were mostly equal.

Explain, heathens.

It was set up as a joke.

Frieza was pwnin' Goku's a***.

I would know -- I saw the film.

This is basically how it went down:

Goku: lolFrieza is sooooo~ much more powerful, but way weaker than me, imma have fun. Weeeee!

*fight ensues*

Vegeta: eff you, Kararotto. can i haz my turn now? *punch punch, kick kick*

Frieza: Vegeta, uloveme, totes homo? We can 3some later, but this is between the monkey and I.

Vegeta: k.

*Goku pwns Frieza a bit more*

Frieza: k, done now, me transform. rawr!

Goku: Ohshizzzz! kewl. You gold now! But wait...*transforms* blue is totes the color now. Vegeta, you want your turn now?

Vegeta: Oh, now you don't wanna play? *head side to side with one finger up* Nuh-uh, gurl. He yours.

Goku: fack. k.

Frieza: fffuuuuuuuuuuuuu! *pwns Goku's butt*

Goku: lalalalala...*runs away a few times...notices Frieza's power dropping...lands...bides more time by talking a ton* Frieza, joo is stupid.

Vegeta: Yep. You dumb.

*Frieza rages*

I have to ask, am I the only person who sees the validity of SSJGSSJ Goku's heart being pierced by Sorbet's laser ring? I mean, people are extraordinarily butthurt about this, but I don't get it. Yeah, Goku unsuspectingly tanked bullets at the beginning of the series, but so what? A lot of people seem to forget that Ki augmentation is what allows DBZ characters to withstand planet shattering attacks. If we look to the Boo arc, Goku's physical capabilities are pretty lack luster. He needs to be a Super Saiyajin to move with 40 tons strapped to him. Logically speaking, if Goku's guard was down, his physical body WOULD NOT be able to handle the force of Sorbet's ring, as it most certainly has enough condensed energy to destroy at the very least the Moon. I mean, Freeza soldiers pack blasters with battle powers that clearly exceed 1,000:
Strength Checker

Chapter: 253 (DBZ 59), P5.1-4
Context: Dodoria’s scouter reads the battle powers of three Namekian fighters. Kuririn realizes that these Namekians are hiding their real power.
Dodoria: "Kukkukku... Please don't be disappointed, sir. All three are around 1,000."
Random goons: “Hehhehheh! You gotta be joking! They want to take us on with a level around 1,000!”

Sorbet's ring probably packs a much bigger punch, so I'd imagine it has at least enough condensed energy to destroy small planets...

I think your very determined to like everything and anything presented by this movie. Which is understandable, you don't want to be disappointed.

I still think it's unlikely Goku would be hurt unless his guard is completely down. Whether he's paying attention or not, he's in the middle of fighting Freeza and is in his ssjgssj form. I doubt he's pushed his power level down so drastically low that somebody on Zarbon's level can hurt him. I'm just going to assume it's a one of a kind, special, magic, super ring and had Goku been paying full attention it wouldn't have been any problem at all.

His guard was completely dropped though, that's the entire point of the scene. Goku's physical body struggles to move with 40 tons strapped to it. If there isn't any Ki guarding his body, you can bet an attack with a blast powerful enough to even destroy the Moon would pierce his body. Now of course, you might be thinking dropping his "Ki shield" at any moment would be stupid, but he can augment his body with a mere thought, so it isn't as impractical in battle as one might think.

I agree. That is the whole point of the scene. It's to show that, like whis said, goku lets his guard down too often

So a condensed moon+ busting energy beam is what it takes to pierce goku when his ki shield is down?

People are taking the Sorbet ring thing way too seriously. It's just some powerful super weapon that was used for the plot. It wasn't meant as a feat or something like that. It was to show Goku's overconfidence, not the weakness of his body.
Plot>Power levels/VS feats.
If anything it would just be PIS.

Recentely finished the short manga of the movie. It was kind of weird and extremely fast paced. Hope the movie will have some pre material before going to focus to the battle

This is also my take on it.
