I don't understand that part about their thoughts and senses
He wants their limbs to be psychic and act on their own. Basically, if he hits them on the knee, instead of swinging their knee up, their knee will do a martial arts spinning round house kick. It's pretty silly when he wants their limbs to be independent of them
He telling them not to overthink their moves, just to trust their instincts. Standard anime stuff. I don't think so. Didn't Mr. Popo already do that song and dance?
@Emmeth A brainless, spoiled brat who showed no particularily great skill and failed miserably in combat when pushed to fight someone equally.
Not really a good mark on Whis's record

Seriously...? If this is suggesting what I think it's suggesting, I'm going to be quite peeved. Is the elder Kai ritual really that f***ing hard to remember .
The way he says it implies that he's wondering about whether that will impede his ability to go Super Saiyan. What is being implied is that he doesn't have his ultimate state anymore. Why go Super Saiyajin if his ultimate state is superior? He clearly hasn't been training, so even assuming he could stack Super Saiyajin over his ultimate state, it wouldn't do anything.

Not really a good mark on Whis's record Even more impressive then, no? Training a spoiled brat is harder than training a willing student.

Master Roshi: What!? So without him, there are only 5 of us…
Master Roshi: Anyhow Gohan, are you still furthering your training?
Gohan: S…sorry I haven’t.. But I can still go Super Saiyan! I think..

Gotenks didn't fight in SSJ3. Gotenks must've dipped into the liquor supply. It wouldn't surprise me none given that Gohan switched clothes in an instant.

I'm still confused about gohan. He should be able to stack ssj on top of his base form after enough potential has built up right? Well that's how I'm understanding ultimate form at least

Not if the spoiled brat remains a spoiled brat without any good character what so ever and is the equivalent of a rich kid with a silver spoon in his mouth. Still very powerful though. Beerus' attitude was shown to improve a bit towards the end of the movie anyway, as he was basically coaching Goku in their battle.

Gotenks not going SSJ3 actually makes sense. He always holds back to be more fantastical.
