What do you do during power cuts?

There was a long power cut today leaving me without electric until 7:30pm. It's very fortunate that a book I ordered arrived in the post or I might have been bored out of my mind. Having said that I do have Final Fantasy 1-6 on my ipad. Plus I ordered sausage and chips at the local fish and chip shop since I don't eat fish. That helped pass the time.

What do you do during a power cut?

Generally use handheld game systems. Other than that not much. If it's summer then I'll go play some sports or something like that.

I have a huge backlog of books that I dip into when the power goes out. Also, I like to write; no power means less distractions.

That's what I found. Normally I put playing games above reading books which I know is terrible and today I was given the perfect opportunity to do something decent with my time rather than waste my life in front of a computer screen.

Ok so I may have spent a little bit of time playing Final Fantasy II and also watching the electrical engineers working on the problem right outside my house but my time was mostly spent reading.

I'll usually just read. Or do something productive like organise some files etc. I only have a laptop so have a good 8-10 hours of battery life assuming its charged and I don't waste it.
