Computer audio making popping noise

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

Firstly since the internet refuses to understand my computer isn't making the noise physically it's playing a pop noise on my TV god damn, I've searched so long and all I get are stuff like Yahoo Answers questions about clicking or popping from inside the actual machine...

Anyway it's quite irritating, it happens every few days or so and it doesn't seem to be related to any specific website.
Currently it's doing it the most it's ever done, hence why I'm making the topic.

I can't really describe the sound and if I try it record it it will probably stop so not even going to try

It's like the sort of pop you could make your keyboard on your phone/iPod/etc make when you type. Or a notification for getting a message maybe.

It's not an advert either as I have adblock, doesn't seem to be a virus, happens even if the only tab open is the start page.
Guessing it could be something to do with Firefox but Internet Explorer probably won't work long enough for me to test it out

Lastly when I said quite irritating I meant EXTREMELY <_< it's just taking the piss now...

Ok I went on to my sounds settings and I was on a custom sound...thing, as in I'd customized what sounds play when and for what(pretty sure I never done that)
I went through all the sounds that play and none of them were the pop...
Put it back to Windows Default.

Popping has stopped.

Not sure if that actually stopped it or if it just stopped, it usually doesn't last too long.

I am sorry but I haven't understood anything you have written. Could you "drop" the "dramatic personal life problems and frustrations" and answer the following questions so that I may try and help you,

1.when does sound start playing? Does it happen after startup of PC? Does it start happening after you pressed an application?

2.Does the sound start playing randomly? Or does it happen only after some "event" as occured like pressing a menu option, right clicking on the desktop, opening a new tab in a browser?

It seems completely random other than that it only happens when I'm on Firefox, it doesn't happen every day or every week even but sometimes it will do it a few days in a row and like last night every few seconds...

Which is why it annoys and confuses me so much, it's nothing to do with the notifications in the task bar because they don't pop up that frequent nor do they make any noise because I put that off.

Could be the TV I guess not got another handy to test but getting a new one at some point.

For such a small noise it's incredibly distracting...
