At best, I have them rivaling, at worse, I have Cell kicking Vegeta's a***. For sake of arguments let's go with the former. Even if they were equal, Vegeta's not coming near Cell's level of skill, techniques, regeneration etc. I mean let's face it, Cell's skills>Cell Games Vegeta's skills. Do you think Vegeta improved that much that he managed to finally bypass all of Cell's skills and techniques? I doubt it. With the same point with the Vegetto topic, Vegeta probably has the advantage in terms of amping, heck a lot of characters do, but unless the two get into a beam duel, Vegeta I feel clearly lacks a lot more in his department. |

Goku managed to kick Cell's a*** despite the power advantage Cell had. So if they are true rivals, this Vegeta also managed to kick Goku's a*** (who had an additional 7 years of training, but I think only because Goku didn't bother using IT). Pre-Majin Vegeta's skills may very well surpass Cell Games Goku's skills, which seemed to surpass Cell's. |

Goku managed to kick Cell's a***? When? Where? How? Why? Cell held the advantage the entire time. Was stated to be one to two steps a head of Goku. Told him to chuck a Senzu bean and he'd still beat him, obviously because Cell's holding back. Also Vegeta kicked Goku's a***? What? Where? When? How? Why? When did this happen? |

Goku damaged Cell. If it wasn't for Cell's regeneration, Goku would've won. Not to mentioned that Goku actually forced Cell to use his shield. Cell is an idiot. Vegeta damaged Goku and matched or outmatched him in skill. This is after Goku trained for 7 years in the after life. Just because someone doesn't outright kill the other doesn't mean they didn't inflict severe damage. Goku gave Cell a senzu because he lost considerable stamina just from fighting a weaker opponent. Way to ignore the point. |

Goku damaged Cell because Cell purposely lowered himself down to a level that Goku could actually hurt him. Goku never overtook Cell in power or skill or technique or anything. Cell had the advantage the entire time. He started speeding around Goku at one point and making fun of him. At no point did Goku ever show more skill in his battle. Vegeta never outmatched Goku in skill. They were completely even in the manga, they traded blow for blow and then Vegeta hit Gohan with a sneak attack. |

Cell didn't lower his power to match Goku's. Cell lowered it to still be two steps ahead. Skill bridged the gap for Goku. Do you even know what you're arguing? I'm arguing that Goku's skill (Cell Games) > Cell. Cell wanted to fight Goku again because it's the best thrill he thought he was going to get. He was not disappointed in Goku at all. All Cell had on Goku was a two-step lead (and a massive reserve). I'm also arguing that Vegeta's skill (Pre-Majin) at least matches Goku's (post 7 year training), who should be more skilled than he was in the Cell Games. In other words, disagreeing with your notion that Cell is more skilled than Pre-Majin Vegeta. |

But Goku's skill didn't break that gap? Even at a level that was rivaling Goku, Cell's skills and power were still one to two steps a head of Goku. Cell was vastly more skilled than Goku at the time to the point where even when they were fighting at relatively rivaling powers, his skills outstripped his own and in some cases by a very good degree. Vegeta can be more skilled. than before. He's still had to get passed the skills of someone who as Goku/Vegeta/Piccolo and Freeza on his side and all of their techniques as well. But your talking about how Goku kicked Cell's a*** when that never happened. or how Vegeta kicked Goku's a***...which again never happened. |

Cell despite lowering his power down to a level that could rival Goku was one to two steps a head of Goku. Cell knows literally every skill and technique CG Goku knows as Goku never showed any different skills or techniques after his training by Kaio-sama. The only new technique he learned as the Instantaneous Movement which Cell soon learned later on. Other than amping quality and IT, there is literally nothing that Goku could have done that Cell couldn't and then add in the fact that he has Vegeta, Piccolo and Freeza with himself as well. Then yes...Cell is far more skilled than Goku both in terms of fighting ability and technique and intelligence. Edited by EMIYA, Nov 7 2014, 06:57 PM.

Cell (holding back): 10 Goku: 8-9 Cell being stronger and faster than Goku does not a more skilled fighter make. Please show me a fight in which a weaker fighter was able to do what Goku did to Cell. |

You do realize that Goku never held his own right? Cell was the one winning and statements say, sometimes that was by a significant amount. Even when Cell purposely lowered himself down to a level that would make the fun fight, Goku's so called "Skills" could never surpass Cell's own. Goku never held his own, at best he slightly rivaled Cell and that didn't say anything about his skills being better. When again, Cell has 99.9% of the same skills Goku does. Then has Vegeta on top of that. Then he Freeza on top of that. Then has Piccolo on top of that. |

Knowing a bunch of techniques does not equate to having incredible fighting skills. Goku's, Vegeta's, and Piccolo's cells were all taken on Earth pre-Namek. You are going to tell me that their skills didn't improve past that point? Making baseless claims like 99.9% of all skills is pretty derpy. Did Goku manage to hurt Cell? Yay or nay? Did he manage to blow Cell up? Yay or nay? Did he force Cell's barrier? Yay or nay? Edited by sekzee, Nov 8 2014, 09:39 PM.

Lol using an instant transmission KHH is not an indication of Goku's skill, it's an unfair attack that nobody can dodge. And anyone in a rivalling gap can probably force you to put up a barrier. |
