Toy Story 4

It truly was a Shawshank redemption

Although I would have been more than happy with them keeping the trilogy as it was, I'm all for seeing a new one. I just hope it'll be good.

I liked 2, but it was my least favourite. 1 > 3 > 2 for me. But they're all great.

-- Lotso is the villain because he was abandoned/separated from his kid ~ Just Like Prospector Pete
-- The toys think that Andy has outgrown them ~ Just like in Toy Story 2 when Pete tells Woody that this will happen and when Jessie's kid outgrew her
-- Buzz is reprogrammed by Lotso ~ In Toy Story 2, they have a Buzz Impostor

You gotta love that scene when they face the fire though.
Stinky Pete wasn't abandoned or seperated from his owner. He was never opened and was in mint condition. He was just mad because Woody wanted to ruin his dream of being a popular toy in a museum.

This second bit is somewhat similar, I'll agree.

It's just the cool concept that you can re-program toys that can be used again and again. It's not to say they will use it again for any plot-inducing purposes, but maybe for lols visavi Spanish Buzz. For the record, I am all for a "villainous" Buzz :)

Yeah, that scene was tear-wrenching, wasn't it? :T_T:

True, I forgot about that.

But Pete and Lotso both kept saying that all kids eventually abandon their toys... guess that is just the same as the second point I made though
We Super Saiyans are in a league of our own.

I didn't even see 3. I liked 2 enough not to go any further.
Same here. Except I only like 1.

Point of the matter is:

If things go sour for Pixar, they always have a series to go back to, and that's Toy Story. It will always be good because it's about toys on adventures.

I won't really pass judgement until I've at least seen the plot of the film. But the third film really did seem to have a perfect ending for the series.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

Not seen the third but I know enough about it to know that there just doesn't need to be another one.

Of course, there's money to be made though so who cares about a well rounded story?

Why not just make another toy based movie or some kind of spin off?

I can't imagine kids would be like "urgh they're just copying Toy Story I'm going to write a bad review! And forever curse the movie on the internet!"
I guess you could say that kids wouldn't really understand the story being crap anyway but the audience for Toy Story isn't just children the people who watched the first back in the day are adults now, it's a series that can mean a lot for many people so I hope they don't ruin it.

I love Toy Story so much, and I'd rank them in order 1 > 2 > 3. I've seen the first film at least 500 times, and the second probably the same. I'm not as big of a fan of the ending of the 3rd one though, just because of what happened the toys, I still have all my Toy Story toys. So many...

I'm not happy that there is a 4th, but I know I'll still love it and and go see it in the opening day in theaters as I did with 3, plus I trust Lasseter to make a 4th.

Well, never really hear about them on TV are they that popular?

The story is only continued because it makes money, they could just do something else toy related...don't turn it in to Ice Age or Madagascar which completely overstayed their welcome...

Is it that hard to think of an "original" kids movie? As referenced by the quotation marks it doesn't even need to be slightly original for kids to enjoy it.

It has been announced that Toy Story 4 will be made. Set to be directed by John Lassiter, returning from Toy Story 3, this movie will be released in cinemas in 2017.

What's your thoughts on this?
At this point it looks like milking the series. It's unnecessary addition I feel, it's a great trilogy that likely can't be continued successfully.

Ugh... For f***'s sake... When will Disney stop being such a greedy b***? I'm tired of this franchise. Toy Story 1,2 and 3 were okay movies, they said it was a trilogy, not a friggin' franchise. No one cares about these movies anymore!

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.
