Super Saiyan among Super Saiyans

Frieza said it almost killed him. Probably, the only thing that saved Frieza was his immense resiliency.

So my question is: Who do you think is resilient enough to also survive this Spirit Bomb?

Assume the following two things for this hypothetical:

(1) The power level equal to Frieza's
(2) Purity of Heart does not matter -- just resiliency

My own personal opinion, barring haxxed individuals and movie individuals for the sake of simplicity, I think that only Vegeta could survive this. Perhaps Goku and Piccolo might survive as well, but Vegeta really demonstrated that his resiliency is up there with that of Frieza.

You guys can choose from anything -- movies, DB, GT.

We Super Saiyans are in a league of our own.

Is it cheating if I say Boo? :D

Anyhow, I'd reckon Vegeta, Cell and possibly Piccolo could do it. Though I'm not sure yet on Piccolo.

For the sake of this discussion, if you agree SuperSaiyan1993, let's leave out Cell and any incarnation of Boo.

Up until a certain point in the Cell arc, I think everybody barring the humans could survive this Genki-dama.

Why so? You think people just became more durable by the Cell Games?

It's the power-difference. If Goku sent the same Genkidama during the Cell arc, I'm sure it'd be different, but I was talking about that particular Genkidama.

When Vegeta's limb was broken, he was lying on the ground, screaming in agony. When Freeza lost half his limb, his reaction is more along the lines of anger than pain.

Another thing is that Vegeta's resilience is only show in the Saiyan Saga. Every Saga after that, he goes down in 5 seconds, barring Majin, but Majins have super durability and pain tolerance.

This is best shown against Kid Boo, who hit him a grand total of three times in the manga, putting him out of the fight permanently

In other words, if Vegeta survives, unlike Freeza, he'll be a jibbering wreck on the ground

I agree, Dr. Zoidberg, about excluding Cell and Boo for this topic.

I find your assessment intriguing. If the Genki-Dama almost killed Frieza who probably has one of the best, if not the, best resiliency in DBZ, how would any non-human, with the same power level as Frieza, survive this?

Freeza had astounding stamina, don't get me wrong. I just think anyone beyond his power gains everything equally, so endurance goes up too. If you take Goku from CG, make his power equal to Freeza and put him in a fight with the tyrant, Goku would have better endurance. It only makes sense, no?

Yeah, but if Goku was cut in half, he'd be dead in minutes. Freeza was not. If Goku's favorite limb was cut off, he'd be screaming in agony

I see what you are saying, but I don't think it has to necessarily be like that.

As Iazerbem said, Vegeta's resilience seems to be worse than it was in the Saiyan saga.

Anyway, I think that, barring hax and regen, Frieza demonstrated the best resiliency of the entire series
