So what do you guys like more?

I made some categories for my preferences.

Peaceful/Nimbus Cloud Riding: Dragon Ball hands down.

Climactic battles: Since the Z fighters didn't really have super gory and op battles, imma say Dbz.

Comedic stuff: DBZ was a quest to save the universe from evil and destruction, but DB was a mroe funny, martial arts adventure to become the best. Plus there were no aliens in dragonball other than Piccolo and Kami. So im going with DragonBall. (How many times has Master Roshi been a pervert in that show.)

Special Effect sounds: This ones tough, because they both were really, really good!!! But since
the energy attacks and speed sounds were so cool, Im going to say DBZ

Evil Music: Uhhh duh.... DragonBalll for sure. the song gives an effect of a huge evil army, marching through a town.

Soundtrack in General: Im not trying to be biast towards DB here, but im going to have to go with it. It has a old fashioned feeling and is so fun. DBZ music is good, but its mood is to serious for my taste.

DB had chill, eastern influental themes.

DBZ was kickass with Bruce.

Bruce Faulconer ain't DBZ. His tracks often miss the point of what a scene is trying to convey. That aside, I'd say DBZ has the better tunes thanks to tracks like Solid State Scouter, Battle Point Unlimted, Spirit vs Spirit, Cha-La-Head-Cha-La, We Gotta Power, etc.

Dragonball had the better music. Couldn't get into any of the DBZ variants.

The JPN score for DBZ never clicked with me well, sorta like Adult Goku's JPN voice.

For DBZ, I prefer the Faulconer score. For DB and DBGT, I prefer the JPN score.

The resident GT fan!

I believe Bruce's music is just epic and awesome, and also fits the scenes, although i also like the japanese music its still far below the eng dub music for me, its so epic.

The Faulconer music gives specific themes for different characters which is badass. The Japanese has better emotional or 'calm' music, but it doesn't change much throughout the series.

I really wish Kai had some Bruce themes. I hate the filler and kai is really good.

music: japanese version DBZ during certain scenes, except for the out-of-nowhere japanese songs (with lyrics). the only song with words that fits is yoshi's radio scene.
the english versiom has very boring music.
at any case DB KAI beats DB and DBZ easy.

but background music sometimes are better in DB like the tournament song and army song. i also love the ending of the second episode background music when goku carries turtle.
