I thought that one was good. Why was it a piece of crap I'm no anime connoisseur The only thing good about the 2006 series was the music which was composed by Kenji Kawai. The problem with the 2006 version and the UBW movie stems from many things. For the anime, it was...to be blunt, very poor animation and I don't mean just because it was made in 2006 either. At points there could be very little fluidity and motion to it. But more importantly it was rushed and tried to cram or take away many of the things that were important in the VN. What you ultimately had was something that barely even resembled the original visual novel or what it stood for. The movie was, despite having a bigger budget, even worse. Imagine trying to fit what accounts for literally days and weeks of writing of the Visual Novel route and press all of that down into just 45 minutes and then getting basically getting none of that 45 minutes right. Not only is the 2014 version far better animated and stuff but its a lot closer to the original material and thus, much more faithful to Nasu's work than DEEN studio did.

Only on episode two but so far not that impressed, Zero was way more intense. It almost seems more like an alternate story than a continuation.

It's pretty bland that Saber is a focus again and the same Servant not to mention her first foe again is Lancer. Just feels kinda meh, would rather it was more mixed up than that. And now she's gonna have a showdown with Berserker again. 3 episode rule I guess. It's not bad exactly just not as good so far.
