 I'm pretty sure they've already stated that Shinji isn't a magician.

 Yeah, Shinji has no magical capabilities. This is kind of why Matou Zouken (That old a*** guy in Fate/Zero) got Sakura. He needed someone to continue the Matou line because everyone else was either useless (Shinji and his father Byakuya) or dead (Kariya)...or a combination of both perhaps. The Matou bloodline was pretty much done so he took in Sakura from the Tohsaka family.

 I doubt Gligamesh will actually go around doing his bidding. He's just in this for fun. He might do a bit for that reason but that's just about it. Also I don't see how Gilgamesh qualifies as a servant. He's a flesh and blood human at this point isn't he?

 Gilgamesh is still a servant, he still has all of his powers and everything. The only difference is that yes, he does now have a real flesh and blood body and not a spiritual body.

 Another day...another episode aired.

Well we finally found out who Caster's Master is and it looks like many of you were correct :) congratulations. But it would seem Caster's Master ain't no novice when it comes to fighting as the beatdown in this episode showed.

 The Saber class is considered to be the best overall class. That doesn't stop other people from either being just overall far superior to her in combat ability (Zero Berserker) or having massively overpowered Noble Phantasms that they can use at their own leisure (Gilgamesh) Add in the fact that right now, her capabilities in Fate/Stay Night aren't as good as they were in Zero since she has a less competent Master.

 Superior in combat? What is there apart from combat for Saber?

Are we gonna get a better understanding of Archer apart from these dreams? I didn't really catch anything.

 It's things that you have to know about the Visual Novel to really catch up on.

For example let's say Saber vs Lancer. Saber's abilities trump Lancers and we can even see that in the fight. Her overall combat abilities are superior to his own. However his Noble Phantasm, Gae Bolg, while less destructive, is specifically designed for single combat and requires less use of energy on his part. Add in its reality warping capabilities and it makes for a very formidable weapon.

Saber's Noble Phantasm however, Excalibur, while massively more destructive, requires far more mana on her part and isn't useful in single combat matches. It's a power that works better against larger enemies. Hence why Gae Bolg is an "Anti-Unit" NP and Excalibur is an "Anti-Fortress" NP, or Ionian Hetioari is an "Anti-Army" and Enuma Elish is an "Anti-World"

Saber's class also has high anti-magic resistance which means people like Caster suck against her.

And yes as far as Archer goes, we'll be seeing more of him. Believe me.

Sooooo.... Archer is Shirou from another timeline/the future or something. I'm like 90% sure of that at this point. It makes sense. It's why Shirou had that dream in that desert thing with the swords that Archer was seen in. It's why they both seemed to be obsessed with each other. It's why Shirou can create the same swords as Archer. Archer seems like he had a pretty tragic life and he's completely against Shirou's ideals. He probably saw that it can't work, kind of like Kiritsugu did which is why he went after the grail.

Was not expecting that from Kuzuki, damn. He said he wasn't a Mage but he's using some sort of magic to get that strength (obvious from the effects). Guessing Caster is responsible for that. Even so, I doubt she can make someone good at fighting if they couldn't do it anyway so he must have been pretty beast anyway.

Lol the Gilgamesh and Shinji scene was brilliant. When Shinji touches him on his back and he gives him that stare. You could just tell he was thinking "Get your hands off me, mongrel." He's totally going to f*** Shinji over painfully, it'll be glorious. His speech was interesting and does fit with his character. He believes everyone lives to serve the King and that he is the only true King. But he's still just one guy, he doesn't need so many people so the majority are worthless to him.

I hope his inevitable defeat isn't bulls***. I mean, he could wreck pretty much every Servant with Ea, he just won't use it because arrogance I'll be annoyed if he loses in a way that could be avoided if he'd have just used it.

 I can only say this. The only thing more powerful than Gilgamesh's abilities is his own ego. Even with that in mind, it's going to take take something serious in taking him down.

And as for Kuzuki. Yes, while Caster's magic is increasing his power, his style and IIRC even his speed is something that he built up and trained over time. It's said in the VN that his style is so peculiar, what is called "Snake" that this is one of the things that really catches servants off guard. If they knew about this style, it would lose a fair bit of effectiveness but even with that, doesn't make Kuzuki any less of a beast.

I was waiting for this moment for a while and it didn't disappoint me at all. It was exactly as I thought it would be. I can't help but think the rest of your expressions was exactly like Shirou when Kuzuki chucked Saber through a wall. Complete and utter shock.

 Not sure how I feel about Kuzuki winning against Saber, that just didn't feel right to me. It was badass though so I'll let it slide. The brief fight with Kuzuki and Shirou was dope, now we know what Archer said during the fight with Lancer. I absolutely love Caster, she's probably my favorite servant right now, not including zero and Gilgamesh. We aren't even half way through yet, I am dying for more episodes.

 Double Post but..

The finale of Season One of Unlimited Blades Work has aired, a whopping 50 minute long episode at that as well. A lot of s*** went down here, what do you all think?

Love the fact that they used that rendition of "This Illusion" for the ending, which of course was the opening them for the original Fate/Stay Night visual novel. It was also used in the 2006 anime but...we ain't going to talk about that.
