Not really, no, but it keeps being brought up for some reason. That and men's expectations in society. |

It's pretty simple to me. You don't change the name of a movement wih years of History because stupid people on the internet make fun of its stereotypes. People who are against feminism are either sexist or don't even know what feminism stands for and I don't think that a person who doesn't bother to get informed on the movement is a big loss to the cause itself. A movement stands for a certain point, in this case feminism stands for equality, when people branch away from this movement, in this case these so called 'Feminazis', they have to make their OWN movement, they can't call themselves feminists and expect the real feminists to just make up a new name because some people found it necessary to change the meaning behind a lot of History. When you're changing the name you're pretty much just lying to the people about the History of feminism and people who stood for being a feminist. Educating > Lying |

Just out of curiosity, what would the re-education process entail? |

People whose only involvement in debates is liking other people's posts here and there... But that's a different story for a different time. Re-education would consist of creating better programs at school and have the real purpose and motives of feminism highlighted on the media more often through all the different media devices we own. Basically, just changing perspectives by actively sending out information on the topic while simultaneously stopping the spread of misinformation. The process of reeducating people is vast and it encompasses a lot of different layers, but ultimately what you want is to make the message you're trying to convey as natural as possible to people, so that they eventually understand it as something relatively simple to grasp. |

A bunch of 4chan trolls on twitter posing made feminists look bad, I should inform that. I think we do need feminists because even though women are a big part of our world they've always been treated like less. Just like the "black power" movement. It's about empowerment and demanding equality. A lot of men won't admit it, but to some extent such as leadership we view women to be not as competent as us. I know very little about both sides, mainly because I don't want to research it more than I already have, but I will say, I support full equality. Women should be paid as much as men. Women should also serve the same prison sentences for the same crimes. (I read a statistic that stated, if men and women committed the exact same crime, men usually get harsher sentences.) and I also believe custody battles should not be bias toward women. I also think that a man has every right to hit a women if the women hits him, and vice versa. I know it probably isn't a good representation of feminism, but most feminists I've seen are really anti-men, like, they'd want to round up all males and kill them off, Nazi style. |

There is no "Feminism vs Humanism".Both of them try to achieve the same set of global objectives. I believe that "Humanism" is an "advanced subject" and the prerequisites for "exploring" this course is to first "explore" and understand "Feminism".Its like you first need to know what "numbers" are and their "properties" and only then can you proceed to the "next level". I believe "Feminism" has done a good job in educating the people "about the value of a female".It also manages, through its history,to explain the misuse of "Feminism" in the hands of "inexperienced" feminist . Yes,its true that "Feminism" hasn't still "educated/coded" all the people in the world due to some other global problems. But I believe that in a few more years "Feminism" will be destined to evolve into "Humanism".'Humanism" I believe, will provide a more distinct and "concrete" understanding of the "value" of human beings irrespective of gender, relegion, colour etc. |

Is this actually true? I've never seen a woman talk like this tbh. It's just the 4chan and 9gag trolls that like to post about hypocritical and radical "feminists" But really the people they're making fun of aren't real feminists. It's like making fun of every single Christian in the world because of the Westboro Baptist Church. In fact, it's even worse than that because the Westboro Baptist Church is filled with actual Christians, feminazism contains no actual feminists. |

Yeah there are people who actually think like that, and while they aren't feminists (crazy extremism is what I'd classify that as) they claim to be, which discourages people from actually learning what feminism is... why would you want to associate to people like that? The video Kris linked on the first page is pretty much the best explanation for this topic, really.
