Football fits better for soccer because you play it with your feet majority of the time. You only score certain points with your foot in american football. Pretty much the entire world calls soccer 'football'. We refer to your sport as "american football". You use your foot in both sports, I don't see the point. Seriously, how do you not see our point!? In soccer for the majority you use your feet. Sometimes your head and the keeper uses hands but the MAJORITY is done by feet and ball. In American football, you tackle each other a lot and for the MAJORITY you use your hands. Sometimes you're kicking a ball sure, but for the majority of the game, you don't. That's why football is a fitting name for soccer and not for American football.

Doesn't have that tough feel or excitement. If this was in the 60's to 90's it probably wouldn't be popular. But this is 2014 America, a lot of things here especially sports are gimmicks, commercial success, or "mainstream". With a name like tackle ball people would probably laugh and not take it seriously. Honestly as a kid I used to think football was called football because it uses feet. Until I learned it was measure in yards. I also thought American Football was called soccer everywhere else. I was such an idiot Lol. I don't think Football should be renamed.

Firefox Favourite Manga Dragonball	Actually for the third time, it is the proper name. It dates back to the colonial times before the game had any rules. You could kick it, run with it it, throw it ect. When they finally decided on some rules they stuck with what they had been calling it for hundreds of years before.
