Is it possible that I have muscle atrophy?

Atrophy is when something starts wearing away because of lack of use. Astronauts are particularly prone to the condition because they don't use a lot of their muscles in 0g environments. Now I don't get out of the house much anymore and I spend most of my time sat on my computer chair. Strenuous activity such as shadow boxing, jumping on my bed and even reaching under my desk or bed seem to cause me some minor strain in my back, arms, legs and shoulders. Walking for more than an hour causes severe cramping in my right thigh too. Is it possible I have atrophy or am I just being a hypochondriac?

I think it's a little too early for that. If you're worried, just lift some weights and walk more. You don't even have to do it vigorously. Be casual about it.

If you are just sitting at your computer all day, I'm sure you'll be feeling quite terrible when you would be doing physical activities.

Lol... Do some jumpingjacks every now and then, you'll be fine.

I think it's just because you've been so lazy for so long. Start stretching more, go for walks and go lift weights. Light weights first so you don't hurt yourself. It's better to ease into it
