滅Are you frightened?

How would society progress if no form of ill-willed existed and cannot be triggered at all?

There would be no progression. Hatred and destruction breeds progress.

Hatred and ill will trigger protests, rebellion, war, and governments being overthrown to form change, but if the hindering hatred never existed, the progression would happen faster as it is discovered with no opposing forces to try hindering it. It's not that progression wouldn't happen, it would just be ever flowing without "cock-blocks" getting in the way for however long. It would basically be a world of "Whatever floats your boat, we won't stop you." constantly. I guess that could be considered "No progression at all" in some views, but the world would still evolve and change, just without hindrance. The world would be a better place obviously.

I think the question you should be asking is how the world would progress and change without greed. Hatred does not impede progress by itself. Its the results of hatred that cause our societies to waste time which would otherwise be used to further ourselves.

Probably because we wouldn't have a lot of technology born from wars and such along with medical advances.

Although you could question whether or not diseases etc would be cured at all, if it didn't matter to anyone would they not just let it do it's thing?

Would possibly be considered fine, part of life and then everyone would get smallpox or something and die because no protests or scientists wanting revenge on the disease would be around to demand and make progress.

I think hatred of your fellow man and their rights/way of life/etc. is a totally different story than having a disposition to a disease and wanting to cure it, so I think you guys are getting a little off base here. Of course progression would still happen and would matter, it's just the fact we would go about it without negative opposition getting in the way. Progression of weapons and military things obviously wouldn't happen, but without hatred, bigotry, discrimination, and ill will for your fellow man, we wouldn't need advanced weaponry of mass destruction/stealth. At least not in a man vs. man context. Simple small guns and rifles would still exist for hunting and may be progressed upon, but that's about it.

Things like radar systems would still exist i'm sure, but for different reasons other than keeping tabs on our "enemies" and whatnot in regards to war and military operations overall. Clearly radar systems would still be needed for airplanes and satellites and such.
