How would Scottish independence affect the economy?

Seems to be a bit of a panic with the banks right now due to the yes vote gaining an apparent lead in the polls. Would Scottish independence cause problems for the banks and the economy? I don't just mean in Scotland but also in the rest of the UK and even globally.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

Well, England steals all our oil! So we'll be rich and you'll be poor gahahahahaa!

Which is why I'm not even going to vote, it's hard to tell which sides propaganda is more legitimate than the others.

I hope it turns out alright for everyone in the UK but either way it seems like we're going independent people are to obsessed with sticking the middle finger up to England or that it's taking most of our money.

I would like to see Scotland improve greatly but only if it's actually somewhat true the rest of the land gets most of the money from Scottish oil etc.

It looks as though Scotland's going to have a really hard time if it does secede. They can't survive on tourism, fishing and oil. Well maybe if there was more oil than what they have. It's such a small country that without a strong financial sector or just tons of rich people living there, I can't see how they can generate enough revenue to stay afloat. They won't keep the pound, they probably won't be able to get a place in the E.U and thousands of jobs will go down the drain. Unless the leader at the time is some sort of political genius then I think they will be bankrupt within two years.
