I think I may have this which is incredibly interfering with my sleep. Some nights, my legs incessantly bother me no matter what I do which inevitably prevents me from sleeping for a long time.

Any advice?

Take a muscle relaxer.

Do a lot of squats and leg presses.

Take a muscle relaxer. If you still have a problem sit up and massage your legs for a few minutes, even if that doesn't stop the problem altogether it can help a bit with the pins and needles feeling that sometimes accompanies it.

My dad has RLS and he takes something called 'Pramipexole' tablets, which helps him a lot.

Do you know if that needs a doctor's prescription and if it's safe?

From what I read, it also treats Parkinson's Disease so it does something to Dopamine

Yeah you need a doctor's prescription. My dad has taken it for years and nothing bad has happened to him.

To be honest, restless leg syndrome isn't only classified as constant movement of the legs, but the constant want or need to move in general. It could be physical or psychological.

A more simple solution would be to reduce your caffeine intake before bed. Muscle relaxers aren't always safe to take, depending on your situation.
