Posts: 3,709 Group: Member Member #11,519 Joined: July 15, 2014	That's completely hypothetical but even so Goku loses. If Goku had hidden potential then the Elder Kai would have drawn it out whilst Gohan was fighting Super Buu and it wouldn't have taken nearly as long as Gohan's ceremony.

All power in the world wont do any good if you cant hit the opponent. Likewise, Goku has an edge with Instant Transmission, Taiyo-ken, Ryu-ken, Zanzoken & many other skills that'll blow away Gotenks.

I assume you're not taking EoZ into account then? Because his base then was comparable to a SSJ3 tiered opponent. And I have base Gotenks post equal to his SSJ Pre self.

Posts: 3,709 Group: Member Member #11,519 Joined: July 15, 2014	I assume by 'Ultimate' the OP means Goku in the Buu saga with his potential unlocked by the Elder Kai? Goku's potential would have increased by the end of Z, I don't think potential is stagnant as characters have had their potential released multiple times. Elder Kai would have suggested bringing out Goku's potential when Super Buu was being handled by Gohan, just in case. he only mentioned Gohan having vast hidden depths and the only explanation is that for him not saying anything about Goku is that he didn't have any. I also have base Gotenks post around SS Gotenks pre. I also have Gohan, Gotenks and Super Buu at that time far, far, far, far, far stronger than Goku. To the point where even his base being equal to SS3 versus Kid Buu, at max he still would no where near close the distance on Gotenks and Gohan of the Buu saga. Taking BOG into account, I just don't know. The fighter who did best against Beerus before SSG seemingly was Vegeta. He was bocking and dodging and with his rage boost managed to hit back. I have no idea where Gohan and Goku stand against each other as Beerus is so far ahead he makes everyone look laughably weak. If end of Z is still cannon however and Uub was fighting on Kid Buu's level (I've always doubted he was, or why would he need extensive years of training if he could already achieve his original power?) then Goku's full power would still fall short based on base Gotenks pre ROSAT > SS2 Goku.

And using Prince theory, Goku then never underwent the Potara fusion, so Goku was maxed out during the progression of Gohan. So after fission, Goku and Vegeta incorporated Vegito's abnormal potential, allowing for gains shown at EoZ and Birusu's statement.
