I've seen so many people hate on it simply because there's no Faulconer music.
I for one think Kai is superior. Most of the filler is gone and I prefer the fast pacing and most of the new voices over the older.
Kai Kid Gohan > Z Kid Gohan.
Kai Cyborg 18 > Z Cyborg 18

I actually think that Colleen's voice acting was leagues above Stephanie Nadolny's. I can never understand why everyone complains about her portrayal when she actually made Gohan sound humble and normal instead of a hard-knock chain smoker.
Not only does the voice sound bad, but the characterization is just totally wrong with Nadolny's performance.
Just to clarify, I thoroughly despised Gohan as a character until Colleen came along.
Nadolny's Gohan sounds like a REAL young teenager. The voice cracks up, and she sounds far more masculine than Clinkenbitch, who makes Gohan sounds too much like a girl, and 18 too friggin prissy.
Well, 18's voice in Kai works better, because while she's a cyborg, her voice makes her sound more human than her voice in Z, showing her human side, if you get what I'm saying. You seem to be very angry at Kai for no good reason, as if it ruined the entire series.
Not every 18 year old girl needs to sound the same as every other typical 18 year old girl with a high, prissy voice and attitude. Meredith McCoy gave her voice that power that Clinkenbeard doesn't. And of course Kai is hate worthy! It's just rehashing DBZ yet again for more money! I'm a DBZ fan who thinks All DBZ related products should CEASE permanently. DBZ had it's time to shine, and that time is over. Been over for a long time. But it keeps getting sold out with the same game year after year, several ridiculous manga stories of varying cannonity, and now a new movie which reveals that there's a DBZ multiverse! Great! As if DBZ didn't rip off comics enough already. DBZ is that old guy in the club that's past his prime, yet still comes anyway to pick up chicks. He's had work done on his face, but it REALLY shows. But he's a cool guy who's generally liked by everyone, so they won't tell him to please go home.
Ummm, I'm pretty sure Android 18 isn't actually 18. Just like 17 isn't probably 17, and Android 20 obviously isn't 20.
Also, she doesn't sound much like an average 18 year old anyways.
I don't think it's very justified to hate something just because it's a re-hash. You can easily just ignore it, and it didn't ruin the series. Plus getting money is what helps the company stay afloat and make DVD releases and such, and gives them money to work on other anime series's.

Little Kuriboh Frieza >>>>> Kai Frieza >/= Z Frieza. I didn't hate Linda Young's performance, because it was still jarring to hear such an inappropriate voice on a non threatening looking character who was truly devestating. But Kai does pick a good VA for Frieza. Martin just delivered it so much better. He had an edge with the script he was given, but god did LK deliver for TFS or what?
And yeah, I know it was all supposed to be a remastering, but really. Why not make Heroes a show? I really think they could have done that and it would have been just as great or much greater than Kai.

It's not like you can't enjoy Z anymore though, it's not that bad.

Kai isn't whoring out DBZ. Kai is reintroducing Dragon Ball to a new generation, while giving people a reason to rewatch something from their child-hood by cutting down on all the useless filler.

The whole "Kai removes all the filler" thing sounds like a cheap, inaccurate marketing mechanism given that Kai keeps a lot of the filer, just Saiyan.
Other than that, IDK. I'll watch either version because their both good in their own rights.

I always found the "ZOMG no Faulconer!?!?!?!" complaint to be incredibly petty, considering the point of Kai.

The Nicktoons version doesn't censor punches afaik, and even then, voice acting, music and scripts that aren't repetitive are more important to me.

When I'd watch Kai on Nickwhatever it would show punches, just a lot less blood than the original Z methinks. I thought Kai Uncut just had swearing and more blood??

You are incorrect, punches are censored on the moment of impact and some are cut out entirely.
This site has all of the censored moments in Nicktoons
Death is censored
Blood is typically left in but recolored
And stuff like Cell stepping on Gohan's head is cut out
Some punches and kicks are also edited out
