I can never understand why everyone complains about her portrayal when she actually made Gohan sound humble and normal instead of a hard-knock chain smoker. Not only does the voice sound bad, but the characterization is just totally wrong with Nadolny's performance. Just to clarify, I thoroughly despised Gohan as a character until Colleen came along. The music is better and gohan's voice is better. I personally don't like kai as much for those reasons. I don't understand why anyone would want them to take out Bruce faulconer's music in favor of kais music. Kai music is boring IMO. I don't think it's nostalgia making me like Bruce faulconer's music more either. I just don't like kai music. Same with gohan's voice If I'm watching the show in Japanese, I always go with kai Not to start a dub war, but how is the music better? I can understand how you'd like listening to it outside the show, I mean Faulconer has produced some good tunes at face value, but within the context of the show, they don't fit very often. Goku's SSJ3 theme, for example, sounds great as a piece of music, but it doesn't fit the scene it's used in. Goku's SSJ3 ascension was supposed to give off this sense of danger. Instead the SSJ3 gives off a heroic, high energy vibe. It sounds kinda silly when the Earth is shaking and people are telling Goku to stop. As for Gohan's voice, I'd have to ask the same question; how is it better? Nadolny sounded like a gruff 15 year old teenager more-so than a 10 year old boy. Colleen definitely captures the 10 year old boy vibe that Nadolny is missing. I liked both voices from Kai and Z, but I would've preferred Stephany instead. I watched Dragon ball all the way to GT and Stephs voice doesn't sound anything like a chain smoker in my opinion. That's just ridiculous lol. Also, I felt she captured the emotion much more than the other but that's just my opinion of course, along with what others said about Goku's voice in the Japenese Dub sounding nowhere near his age but it fits his character. It's the same with Gohan. And Bruce Faulconer's music pieces for me anyway just envoked the epic ness that was DragonBall Z. Also, lots of people in dragonball tell the person who's either powering up immensely or shooting a powerful blast to stop, the theme fits nicely for me. Remember this is all opinion friend.

Nadolny's Gohan sounds like a gruff 15-year old. Even assuming it sounded like a young teen, Gohan is only 10. He shouldn't be hitting puberty yet. As I've stated previously, please by all means find me a girl that sounds like Kai's Gohan.

Clinkenbeard's performance of his character is spot on. Nadolny's just made him out to be some generic hard-knock kid, which ISN'T what Gohan is. I even think that Sefforn Henderson (Ocean Dub) was leagues above Nadolny. Sky I found it kind of strange how Gohan sounded exactly like his father when he was little.. It bothered me a little bit, too.. I never understood why Kara Edwards was brought in for Goten, when Goten is almost physically identical to Goku. Edited by Ketchup Revenge, Aug 24 2014, 02:29 PM.

However, I grew accustomed to them and I think they are really good when you sit down and actually listen to their work. The oddest replacement must be Bulma's switch from Tiffany Vollmer to Monica Rial though. Anyone know why Vollmer isn't doing Bulma's voice anymore?

Nothin Favourite Manga Nothin	Kai hate manifested from the show itself. If the product is good, no one's gonna hate. Simple! LOL at outdated compared to FMAB. Ur comparing 80's~90's show to current high-tech anime. Even then, what makes DBZ pale/outdated? The artistry? Cell & Buu Arc had series best drawings & ur saying its outdated. Even watched it past Frieza arc? Count me in as Kai fan. Hyped as hell for Buu Arc Kai, ended up feeling like spitting on TOEI's face. Utter misplaced musical score, haphazard editing, inconsistent VA work (seiyuu's are getting old, so its understandable) & finally, poorly redrawn scenes. We're basically getting Z only with Latest Intro, Eye-Catch & Outro. What makes Kai special when its same old Z drawings/animation? Btw, dont give the filler-free excuse. The pacing still suffers. DBKAI Buu Saga episode 116 started with Buu's initial phase of Ressurection & ended with Buu's emergence. What? Faster progression you say? I'm saying all these in humble manner. Not tryin to be sarcastic or anything. In my absolute humble way. No offence to Kai fans...

Google Chrome Favourite Manga Dragon Ball	Umm, it took around 35 episodes for Z to get to where Kai is, excluding the Otherworld Tournament arc. If I were to include that, it's 40 episodes. The Buu arc of Kai started with episode 99. That's only 17 episodes. So lets do the math, it took Z twice as long, more if you include the Other World Tournament, to get to where Kai is now. The pacing has improved drastically.

Not every 18 year old girl needs to sound the same as every other typical 18 year old girl with a high, prissy voice and attitude. Meredith McCoy gave her voice that power that Clinkenbeard doesn't. And of course Kai is hate worthy! It's just rehashing DBZ yet again for more money! I'm a DBZ fan who thinks All DBZ related products should CEASE permanently. DBZ had it's time to shine, and that time is over. Been over for a long time. But it keeps getting sold out with the same game year after year, several ridiculous manga stories of varying cannonity, and now a new movie which reveals that there's a DBZ multiverse! Great! As if DBZ didn't rip off comics enough already. DBZ is that old guy in the club that's past his prime, yet still comes anyway to pick up chicks. He's had work done on his face, but it REALLY shows.
