Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

I used to have it all the time like in the local Farmfoods there was these 25 packs of Red Rooster(cheap stuff) for only £5 and I'd have all of that within a day or two.

But a few years ago I noticed how bad a come down I get from most of them, if it's not Red Bull after the half hour or so of extra energy I suddenly dip down and get depressed for hours.

So while I love the taste of them I almost never drink them, occasional can of Relentless if I know my mind will be occupied enough to not sink in to everything sucks mode.

If I come down from an energy drink and don't let myself pass out I hit a depressed state of mind for a few hours. It's why I used them in college by drinking it right before a pre-test power study the day of, zoom to the test, ace it, then come home and crash for a couple hours and sleep it off. I always get tired from sitting still in a testing room.

Still yea I know what you mean and it's why I very rarely have energy drinks myself. I like Full Throttle (No Fear is the same thing).

Energy drinks are the worst beverages to drink, yo. The amount of caffeine in it.

I'm not talking a specific case, but I see it all the time on the news. People drink a lot of energy drinks (usually three or more) in a day and die.
I've never seen anything like it and as I've said before there are no recorded deaths of simply drinking coffee.

Here you can see how much you need to drink to die: http://www.caffeineinformer.com/death-by-caffeine

By the time you drank that you'll have vomited it all out again

As for your energy drink deaths.
I found 1 case of a 14 year old girl. and she drank 24 ounce cans of monster... So yeah. 24 > 3.
They were 24 1-ounce cans, or did you skip some info there? I'm not picking on ya, I'm just curious as to what the amount of liquid was.

And even at that, in what amount of time did she drink 24 freaking cans of Monster? That stuff starts to make my teeth feel rotted after about the second full can (and I'm talking the BIG cans), let alone the 24th, and it definitely doesn't taste that good. She must've been on a mission.

Can't find the article.... No idea what I searched for though I might be wrong yeah.

Still, all the cases I find are people who drank 2 monster energy drinks or something and then after 6 days or so go into cardiac arrest and die. But please... That could have all sorts of causes, a bit naive to point at the energy drinks from 2 days before.

Oh, just read a little further, the girl already had a heart condition...
energy drinks are just cans full of caffeine and pure chemical garbage. blaming it on the caffeine is also a bit naive. I just stick to coffee as much as possible.

I'm not blaming the caffeine, I'm just going by A Current Affair's research.

I think Monster is the best. Always smooth tasting, like someone melted candy or something. Rockstar and Mother taste really bitter at first.

If you think energy drinks are bitter wait until you get a taste of black coffee :p

Red Bull will always be the top energy drink for me. Has the perfect level of sweetness. just overall taste is better than others.

My husband is unaffected by normal levels of caffeine in sodas but energy drinks make him sleepy.

A friend of mine has the exact same thing.
He has insomnia problems as well, he sometimes get up at 2 AM, drinks a 250 mL Red Bull and then suddenly falls asleep.
I guess it's a pretty common thing then to experience the reverse effects of caffeine

Sodas make me a little sleepy, but energy drinks are like sleeping medicine to me. I struggle to stay awake after some Red Bull, Burn, Monster etc.

I don't know if it's because I've built up a resistance to the caffeine or not, but I feel just as tired if I take only one Monster and one Red Bull. It's like I never took them at all. I need quite a bit more to stimulate me.

Some people just naturally have a resistance to it. Thought when I read the amounts you're taking in, I guess it's possible

Just because it takes x amount of cans to cause serious problems doesn't mean that they don't cause problems at all. You get serious problems with addiction and dependence. Plus it isn't good for your teeth at all if you're really drinking as much as you say you are (@KP)

You could be right, though I haven't had any complaints from the dentist yet. I'll stop once I'm not working this stupid shift, but for now I'll take what I can get and deal with the consequences as they come.

I was just saying you're not going to develop a serious problem in one day from drinking a couple cans of the stuff. That just doesn't happen unless you've already got a pre-existing condition.
