I love the taste of a lot of beers, but that doesn't mean I want to drink non-alcoholic beer. I also enjoy the buzz it gives me.

Hmm... I was talking about beverages in general, not just beer. I just specifically wrote beer because of the article's title. I think I need to change the title as it's misleading about the topic I want to specifically discuss.

That makes even less sense, then. haha

There's no way that would ever dominate the market.

It honestly astonishes me how many people drink beer just to get drunk...

I have to say that I think it's just an American thing. We don't do it over here at all. People just have 1 or 2 beers in the afternoon just because they like it.
In fact there are barely any people that would drink anything just to get drunk. People don't want to get drunk here. Sure it happens or people become careless but nobody really becomes drunk on purpose. That only happens among the kids that are pretty stupid and drop out of school and stuff. Not calling any of you stupid though, it just baffles me that it's normal to drink anything that you don't like, just for getting drunk off of it.

There's a difference between drinking it to get drunk and drinking it for the buzz/relaxation purposes. I love beer and drink one or two on the occasional night. Non-alcoholic beer wouldn't do the same thing for me.

Not talking about you. The buzz is kinda what I get. (Still wouldn't drink it if I didn't like it though.)

But accel specifically said drunk. Pyrus said it tastes like camel piss and I believe Goten also sais it tastes like s*** and people just drink it to get drunk.
I do not know ANYBODY that drinks beer even though they don't like it.
I myself barely drink it because I don't like a lot of beers.

The beer around here is definitely not supposed to be crap according to everyone that lives here and in the surrounding states. Still tastes like s*** wiped from a fried hobo's taint.
Where you from? :w00t:

Haha yeah, sorry. I thought you were talking about me. And yes, I would agree. Even back when I first started college and just wanted to get drunk, I never drank beer. I hadn't acquired a taste for it, so it was disgusting to me. I mostly drank vodka because I loved the burn.

Why would anyone bother drinking beer other than to get drunk ? I'm not talking about getting absolutely wasted, but anybody that drinks any alcohol does it for the affect it has on you. If you want to drink something nice and aren't drinking it just for the affect its going to have on you, then go drink a can of Coke or something.

The joke goes something along the lines of "Non-Alcoholic Beer? Isn't that called water?"

But it isn't funny when I tell it because I fail at all joke telling. Maybe you can make it better.

Edit: But Uncle Goten!!! Fruity drinks taste good and make me feel all grown up!! :T_T:

I agree to an extent. Maybe not the getting drunk part, but for the affect it has on you.

I can't imagine drinking anything just for the effect. So many alcoholic beverages. There must be one you like. I for example don't like wine or beer but love vodka and whiskey. If I want that buzz feeling, I drink whiskey or vodka. Not beer

On a cold night when you are feeling kinda classy, I wouldn't mind whiskey on the rocks...or a loaded martini.

For those romantic settings, a glass of red wine sets the mood.

When I am at the beach under the sun, white wine and light beers call my name.

Y'all be missing out. Everything in moderation, kids.

Alcohol is at its best in moderation, that way you can enjoy it. I can't wait to go out and have a mixed drink or two for dinner whenever I feel like it.
