If so he said both were around the same strength, and if Thanos ever beaten him (under his own power) then Thanos easily.

Jack Kirby was co-creator of Galactus, Thanos was based off of the design of Darkseid.

I really want to start reading comics more. I used to. But I kinda lost touch. Back on subject: So the guy created both... Wow... I say Thanos still wins though. Even without the Infinity Gauntlet I see him winning.

Unlikely, That Darkseid is the same in both continuities and was able to oneshot a being that Superboy Prime couldn't even defeat with a waft of his hand and went on to state later he was only a shell of his full power.
