So who else has seen this wonderful movie? Ever since Marvel announced this movie it peaked my curiosity because of its odd cast of characters. After reading some of the comics I absolutely got excited for this movie and had hopes for it.

Then the first trailer came along and I definitely got excited for it.

So my hopes were high for this movie....

After watching it... I was not one bit disappointing, I think it exceed my expectations. I love how they managed to have lots of humor while not feeling forced and keep plenty of action. It definitely felt like a comic book movie just like the Avengers which is probably why I love it so much. Once the movie finished I was already wanting their next adventure to come.

In my opinion it was a great movie and a risk for Marvel that paid off, and I think this movie opens up many doors for marvel. One of them being the cosmos for characters like Nova and etc... And another one is that they can take a comic book series unknown to majority of people and still have a successful movie in the end.

I realy really hope to see an Avanegers/Guardians crossover in the future.

Batista was better than expected but did steal the show. Loved the movie. I think I was more pumped than just about anyone when Chris Pratt was cast (Andy Dwyer is my dude) and he did not disappoint.

It was a great film. I was expecting a typical popcorn flick but it was better than that. A review on Screwattack said Karen Gillan was terrible. Bulls***. She was cool. Nothing wrong with her performance at all. Great soundtrack and great screenplay. Thanos seemed badass. I was kind of hoping he'd show off some of his power but oh well. He was awesome anyway. Speaking of that scene, the cloaked figure who the Kree killed was actor Alexis Denisov who played Wesley in Buffy and Angel.

Yeah I think Batista was good too.

I don't think anyone in particular stole the show since they were all so great. I loved Chris Pratt's acting and his dance moves definitely made the movie entertaining. Groot was flat out awesome and so was Rocket.

There was a particular line in the movie from Chris Pratt which was awesome and hilarious,

Overall I really can't wait to get this movie on Blue ray and really can't wait for the sequel to come out.

I didn't think Karen Gillan was bad at all, thought she did pretty good job.

It was fun to see Josh Brolin as Thanos at least getting a glimpse of how he sounds like and how he looks like. Look forward to seeing more of him in the future. I like that they are keeping his power a secret for now, kind of like the big boss of a game.

I thought it was great.

For a movie that's pretty inappropriate for children (with the uncensored middle finger etc.) I'm kind of surprised the they're making toys and stuff and doing some marketing for children.

though, I guess Alien, and R rated movie, got a toy.

That's pointless though, it was definitely the best film this year in my opinion.

I thought Guardians of the Galaxy was absolutely amazing. The acting. The story. The script. Everything!

A lot of movies nowadays seem like they try to force the humor too much and ends up coming off as a stale attempt but in Guardians they managed to pull off humor at points extremely well, also liked the unexpected humor like the dancing :P

I thought it was a good thing that we didn't get to see Thanos' power yet as it is such a tense build up seeing him commanding all of these different armies but seeing the leaders scared of him makes him seem so much more bada**.

I have the first 5 issues of Avengers Assemble that was released last year(or the year before, I can't remember) and The Guardians of the Galaxy teamed up with The Avengers to fight Thanos so hopefully we can see something like that!

Yeah, that line got me too :D

Went to watch it a few days ago, and I loved it. No real compaints with any of the actors really.
Also loved some of Groot's reactions, like when Rocket said "Boo boo" or something when Batista was talking about his dead family.

It's been far too long since we've had a decent sci-fi film like this. I recommend everyone sees it. Can't wait to go see it again.

Watched on the weekend. Was thoroughly entertained. All the characters were strong and we got to see some more of Thanos. Great insight into more of the Marvel universe. THe end part of the movie with said scene wasn't worth waiting for, and the character they showed off just looked real creepy and odd to me. Soundtrack was great for this film.
A question kept niggling me throughout the movie tho... How did manage to his cassestes play and stay in condition for 27years? And how did he manage to create batteries to power his walkman and how did his headphones manages to stay functional??
Ha, little details.

Its a good film and worth going to see at the cinema. MArvel fun or not, it will appeal to all.

Good stuff.

He lives in space. He probably has batteries that won't run out. Plus if you keep something maintained enough then it will last forever.
