I am really fed up when someone creates a thread like Spoiler: click to toggle Basically Spoilers in the titles can and do ruin someone's fun a regulation about it shall be greatly appreciated As it seems you /all of you just ignore when someone does complain about it All I can do is "fight back" which means doing the same thing ....spoilering in futures threads which I reckon you would not like , WOULD YOU? It looks like I was spoiled for #3. I guess I see what you mean. Umm, I know you've mentioned something like this before. I wouldn't mind if this was handled a little better, but you may want to contact an admin about this. I'm not sure if you should say something here or contact one of them. This hasn't been a terrible problem lately, but I am with you on this. Spoiler: click to toggle

You mean you want people to stop spoiling things directly or you want people to stop putting spoilers inside said spoiler box? Because that's kind of the purpose of the spoiler box. Like opening up a box of chocolate and being surprised you found chocolate in it. |

i think it is a bit of a problem this issue has been made apparent before, by the same member i might add but the situation is hard to deal with, some members are new and dont understand things like this which is the recent case, u guys could implement a rule that, spoilers given in the title earn a insta warning no exceptions if they have been here for a while but with new members a verbal warning would suffice idk situation is hard to deal with but as i recall personally just over the last few months there have been at least from my knowledge 3-4 spoilers given away which is not acceptable and sucks for some people, who come on the forum to chill and post and then are disappointed to see something ruined for them, and this will be a reoccurring theme with books, tv shows, movies, sports events ect... have finales and results and things will be spoiled the logical thing would be to warn them, but there isnt really a way to stop them from spoiling, only once they have actually spoiled something then can something be done, so this is quite the pickle one thing i can think of is when member are making a topic there could be a message before they post that says make sure there are not any spoilers in the title, if so, proceed by clicking create topic or w/e i believe that would actually reduce the chances of spoilers being in topics greatly, just one suggestion ![]() edit brofist, i think he means when people create topics, which are like ''OMG GERMANY WON'' spoilers in the title is the issue at hand Edited by Havoc_Wreaker, Aug 5 2014, 01:10 AM.

Definitely should be against the rules. It winds me up when I see threads like that. People don't think sometimes and probably need a prompt to make them think twice before posting. |

hence why i say there should be a little message that says are there any spoilers in the title, if no then proceed something like that, and some people would be like oh poop this does and would change things up cause like pelador said they need a little reminder, cause sometimes they get all wound up and are excited sometimes and post without thinking |

Putting spoilers in a thread's title is a d*** move. It's unavoidable for someone to see. It's one thing to put spoilers in the opening post, but it's different to make it so obvious. I always hated that excuse "well if you didn't wanna be spoiled you didn't have to come onto the board." You shouldn't have to stay off the internet in order to still enjoy your favorite show/movie. |

What was said in the last thread where this was brought up hasn't changed. We've discouraged spoilers before but at the end of the day we can't completely control what people post. If someone posts a spoiler in a thread title, it can't be changed until it's seen by which point people have been spoiled anyway. Also 99% of spoilers are accidental. I'm not warning people for making innocent mistakes. The only rule I'd agree with is if someone is doing it on purpose to spoil people. |

It's a little too obtrusive for my tastes. If people want it then it's something that can be discussed but I'd find it annoying to get that message every time I post a thread when 9 times out of ten there's nothing to do with spoilers. Also I'm not convinced it would even do anything. People seem to ignore the warnings we already have for using words out of context, don't think this would be that different. |

Eh, I'd get annoyed with a constant "are you posting spoilers?" interruption. |

It does seem a bit obtrusive to do that - we have a similar thing for words like gay and such, so I imagine it could be possible but i'd like to get more opinions from people on whether it would be too irritating to general usage of the forum. We have said previously I believe that people should report these threads and we'll change them ASAP, however that does of course lead to people having to see it. If we dont' go with the above option probably the best I could do is make an announcement about it and also leave it in the area where the other announcements are on every forum. |
