One of my major issues with the Boo arc is the ending. If you look at the Freeza saga, Goku dies with an exploding planet after becoming the first SSjin and defeating an evil tyrant. Epic. Gohan, after ascending to SSjin 2, losing his father, and his arm goes through one more epic KHH battle to save the earth from Cell. Epic. And the Boo arc....goku leaves his friends and family to train with Boo's reincarnate. Lame.

The Buu arc might be my least favorite but I still quite enjoyed it @Urameshi. Even the ending.

I've said many times that the Boo Arc is my least favorite arc. While this is true, it's far from bad.

It has a lot of good moments in every saga in the arc. The main thing I dislike about it is the powerscaling and the other thing is Gotenks. Aside from that, I thought it was pretty solid plot-wise.

I liked the silly side-plot of Hercule trying to eliminate Fat Boo, but instead ending up becoming his friend. That's actually something we hadn't seen before in the manga.

Another thing I liked was the friendship between Goten and Trunks. They reminded me of Goku and Krillin as kids, especially early on.

All in all, the Boo Arc gives nods back to the good old days regularily, which is extremely important as AT was trying to end the series.

I'm just talking about the ending in terms of the Z-Fighters destroying the villain, not anything EoZ related.

That ending was by far the best one in all of the Manga IMO.

Let's not forget the Spirit bomb and people uniting and sh**.
For me probably the top moment in the whole series.

Two CONCEPTS i like...The CONCEPT of "The Gods" and the CONCEPT of Fusions...but even they weren't used very well.

Fusion
Teamwork on the Lookout
Gotenks vs. Boo (made me laugh)

Wait let me add one more. The saving grace of the Buu Arc is kid Buu himself. Him and that whole fight, spirit bomb phoned in dues-ex-machina (somewhat literally in this case) and everything. Saved the series for me. It was fast paced, it was brutal, Goku and Veget have it their all and actually finished the damn job for once. Kid Buu was the violent, unstable, unpredictable monster if a killing machine we expected when he hatched from that egg in season 7. And I just love that!

I like whole barrel things, and I feel the good outweighs the bad to be honest:

Gohan has a discernible character/personality.
The humor was present and well done.
Vegeta vs Pui Pui
Majin Vegeta was cool.
Vegeta's sacrifice was emotionally provoking.
SSJ3 looks f***in' badass.
Majin Buu was an interesting villain, regardless of the traits he shared with Cell such as regeneration and the ability to use the heroes' attacks.
Fusion was a very cool idea.
Mr. Satan's character developed.
The clutch ending with the Genki Dama.

A lot of good stuff.

I know what this Thread is about, but the reason why I didn't like the Genkai Dama being used was because it's already failed twice against two much weaker fighter then Chibi Boo, so it didn't make sense for it to even be attempted a third time.

It's better than having one character getting the job done.

Plus, the Genkai Dama never worked before. Having a Genkai Dama much more powerful than the ones used before would obviously make sense.

I wouldn't have minded something like a combined attack from SS3 Kakarrot and SS2 Vegeta... kind of like a Final Flash with the Kamehameha on Chibi Boo... I would have been fine with that.

But this discussion is for another Thread, which I would be more than happy to discuss this in.

Oh an effective spirit bomb! Yeah that was another save. Beating pure evil with pure good. The spirit bomb finally found an avenue in which it was useful
