There isn't one. Life is meaningless in the long term. It's not the same as having a reason why we're here of course. Everything exists for a reason. But there's no ultimate purpose to existence. We just happened and now we have to live our lives as best we can until we die and become dust. |

The meaning of life is just to be alive. It is so plain and so obvious and so simple.

I don't believe in the "meaning of life", because that implies that there is something with a greater intention; like a God or something. However, in the context of everything being united, your purpose in the world is to keep that flow going. It's unavoidable and everyone does it. We intake oxygen to exhale carbon dioxide, which then gets inhaled by the plants and trees, who exhale oxygen. It's an endless cycle. We intake nutrients, process them, and then excrete the nutrients again. Plants feed upon these nutrients, in which the plants are then again eaten by other animals. We are simply part of a larger cycle than ourselves, and we simply have the consciousness to recognize it. |

Everything is ultimately meaningless. So enjoy what you have whilst it lasts because eventually it will all be gone. |

I agree with Pedal Oar. Life is just a huge set of coincidences, your life will be a tiny fraction of the life of the universe, it was just fine before you were before and it'll be just fine after you're dead. If you could see a timeline of the Earth, and then your life, your life probably wouldn't even be a pixel [citation needed]. You're born, you live your life, then you die while someone else is born and lives their life. |

Live long and happy until its over. I go by this. Live life until its over. We're just like any other life. We die. I will quote CM Punk. As honestly this is life in a nutshell.
We're nothing. Once humans die whenever the sun blows. We will be forgotten and replaced with some other life form in the universe. Its a cycle. Very cool. I love life. Will I miss it? Yes. Though imma be dead in heaven (or you're an atheist then I guess you can say decomposed.) so you wouldn't know. We're just a tool on a wheel |

Well being religious I already have an idea for the meaning of life (for Christians it's following Christ) however, even if I was agnostic or so I wouldn't ever think that it all was coincidence. From where we began to where we are, that's too many fortunate coincidences, even considering all the horrible things in history.

We're quite lucky, but we haven't been around nearly as long as some other creatures. There's still plenty more time for us to go extinct. There's a scientific theory that life evolved from bacteria on a meteorite that mixed with the primitive ocean. You might think wow that's way too fortunate to be random. Well actually meteors with bacteria on crash into Earth all the time and we've even found them on the moon and on Mars. It's pretty common. When you actually look into the suspected origins of cosmic events, they turn out to usually be quite common throughout the universe and sometimes they can be easily predicted. |

Life is a beautiful yet, horrible thing. There are moments where you feel as if you are the king of the world, and there are moments where you hit rock bottom. As far as its meaning goes, there is none. One life makes no difference in the grand scheme of the universe. |

I tend to hope that I grow old enough to think about it at a later time. I prefer to play all of the cards life hands me in hopes that I can reflect on my life and say "Huh. So that's what it was all about," instead of come up with a wrong answer at age 22 and limit my whole life by chasing what I think its meaning is. |

Life is like smoke.Although smoke can not be physically felt and it can not physically hurt anyone, but when it is present it obscures everything. And thats the beauty and power of smoke. The meaning or purpose of life is to figure this out and then try to see whats behind the "smoke" and the illusion it creates. And if you are successfully then you realize that the person or entity behind the smoke is none other than you!! You wll realize that it is your "dissatisfaction" that causes the smoke or illusion. |

An extension of this Life is one conciousness experiencing itself subjectivity in the eternal present moment we just get the illusion that were this bit of it which is called the ego in eastern philosophy. Example the source of all light is in the eye. If there were no eyes in this world, the sun would not be light. You evoke light out of reality, in the same way, you evoke taste out of food or having a soft skin, you evoke hardness out of wood. Consciousness and the Universe is one thing they go hand to hand neither can exist without the other. In the same way you can't have front without back they are one thing. |
