Someone fires off a ki blast that's rated 100 at someone who is also rated 100. Cab they deflect it? What happens if they put their hand out to block it? Two hands? What happens if they just block and take it on? How about if they weren't paying attention? What happens then? |

They see it coming - They prepare themselves to block it and either throw it away, bounce it back or take a little damage They see it coming at the last second - They try their best to put up their guard, but they end taking quite a bit of damage from the blast They don't see it coming - They take a hefty amount of damage and have some serious injuries. Goku was able to deflect Freeza's attacks when he arrived at the battle, and they were probably very close in power there, so it's possible. |

The fighter deflecting the ki blast may be using some ki of his own to do so. In my opinion, the most damage he'd take would be scars and burns on his hands. Shouldn't the KKx20 Kamehameha and 50% Freeza be an example of this? It's a close example of a clashing 100 points. If Fighter B. isn't paying attention, he should most definitely take more damage than deflecting. His state of mine isn't all there, so perhaps his ki isn't at its absolute fullest. A little points off could make a difference in a scenario like this. Edited by Professor Gohan, Jul 24 2014, 10:14 PM.

Vegeta deflected handsome Zarbon's blast. weighted PIccolo deflected 2nd form Freeza's blast. I would say a full reversal like what Piccolo did to Freeza's blast is more impressive than just deflecting it off course. What true form Freeza did to Vegeta's planet buster blast is the most impressive though...anime wise at least that looked to be a total catch and reversal of momentum. I think the blast should be lower than Freeza for him to do that. Anywhere between 80-90% of Freeza would work for me. |

Vegeta deflecting handsome Zarbon's graceful blaster is another good example. My only concern is, the slight power advantage Vegeta had over Zarbon. Zarbon's generic ki attack shouldn't have any extra power in it - in other words, amplification push behind it. So Vegeta probably just had the superior power to put that one away easily, unharmed 100%.

If you shoot a blast with a power level equal to the person you're shooting it at, they will withstand it. Ki out=durability. Unless they're caught off gaurd. If a dbz character is caught off gaurd they take much more damage than usual |
