Out of all of the arcs in the entire Dragon Ball series, which do you think is the most perfect (or least flawed) in the entire canon series and why. Try to list some of the stuff it does good. I'm not sure which I find the most perfect, though what is your's? Edited by Rogafufuken, Jul 23 2014, 08:38 PM.

The most Perfect arc is the Perfect-Cell arc. |

IDK, all the sagas have their ups and downs. Though I guess the Freeza and Cell arcs would be my favorites due to action and the somewhat dark feel of it. |

In terms of flaws? I'd pick the Freeza arc. Apart from several unreasonable power ups, there really isn't a whole lot poorly written about it. |

Let's see. In Canon, that leaves us with the following: Spoiler: click to toggle Out of all of those, I'd have to say it's a tie between the Android Saga and the Cell Saga. Both have very compelling, unique and creative villians. It's fairly fast paced and reactionary, up until Cell decides to slow it down a bit, but still epic in scope. A close second would be Frieza. The general tone is just so urgent. Again, there are no dragonballs, everyone has been resurrected once on average at this point, Frieza is LITERALLY top of the list and is easily the most threatening villian in the series to this point, and proportionately he's the most threatening in the series. |

While they aren't my favourite saga (that'd be Android/Cell) I feel like the 22nd and 23rd Budokais are the least flawed. Mostly just due to their simplicity, there's only one location, and the idea is just simple, the sagas are pretty much just fights and nothing more. There's no need for any hax, or plot induced stupidity. There's no need to explain why Goku isn't beating the villains straight away etc.I'd say 22nd Budokai is less flawed if only because Piccolo entering the tournament to fight Goku instead of just attacking him at any time is a little weird. I don't count 21st Budokai because I feel the series was still too heavily influenced by gags here. Edited by Clearin, Jul 23 2014, 09:38 PM.

Piccolo. A perfect change of tone. I count Piccolo Daimao and Piccolo Jr as one arc. It has badass actions and show how the characters grow and mature. |

I thought there were several sagas to every arc, but I'll just list my favorite Saga is "The 22nd World Tournament Saga". As stated before the Tournaments were probably the least flawed because they were so straightforward. I enjoyed each of the matches in the 22nd Tournament as opposed to the 21st and 23rd where I was really excited for some of the matches but downright bored for others. The fight scenes were great, the dialogue was fun, and the overall plot was entertaining. In my eyes it was the highest point for Dragonball and I didn't get that excited over the show again until "The Android Saga". I still liked everything in between, it's just those were my favorites.

Favorite DB arc: Piccolo Daimao Arc. This is a great arc because it introduced one of the best characters in the series, not to mention s*** got real for once. The Red Ribbon Army may have presented Goku some trouble, but there was never really a sense of danger outside Tao IMO, and even that was short lived. Piccolo was a huuuuge threat, that would persist until the Saiyajin arc of DBZ. Favorite DBZ arc: Artificial Human Arc This is my favorite arc for several reason. It introduced my second favorite character, Trunks. It presented us with 3 great villains, one of them being my favorite of all time(Cell). It gave someone other than Goku the spotlight for once too. The most interesting thing about this arc though was the introduction of multiple timelines. The very concept of a world where the Zetto Senshii actually failed is such a gripping idea. Gohan's death actually tugged a few strings. Heck a lot of my favorite moments and fights can be found in this arc. Trunks killing Freeza and Cold, Vegeta ascending to SSJ, Piccolo vs C-17, Goku vs Cell, Gohan killing the Cell Juniors, Gohan killing Cell, Trunks killing C-17 and C-18. Man, so many good moments. The Frieza Arc. It has the perfect hierarchical display of increasing power. After this arc, everything becomes relative, but here you really see the difference between 1st Form, Piccolo, Final Form, SSJ, etc. The entire saga consists of fights -- exactly what DBZ is meant to be: one of the best action animes. Main characters die, the iconic transformation is revealed, Frieza just won't die until the end, and for a while you think Goku sacrificed himself to stop the galactic tyrant.
