Which character in the series do you think is the best at reading another character? Who is the best judge of character?

Piccolo, for sure. I think Piccolo barely misses anything about another character, if he's making a judgement out of their character itself.

I agree. I think Piccolo is the best at it. Coming in second and third, I think, would be Goku and Krillin. They learned a lot from Kamesennin.

At the bottom of the barrel, I would put Vegeta. No doubt is he a genius in his own right, but he was never the best at reading other people, especially not later on with his pride and all that.

Piccolo. He seems to be the voice of reason in a lot of situations. Too bad bad nobody listens to him.

I think the consensus is Piccolo. He's a legitimately good guy, he has an amazing amount of wisdom and shared experience, knowledge of the galaxy as a whole, but unlike Goku, he's not quite as forgiving. That puts his sensibilities at a higher level.. Goku is a close second, very true. I'm sure between the mind reading, experience and his pure heart. Third I'd say Trunks since he's not prone to underestimating an opponent, especially a metal one, but he is biased against guys made of metal. I'd say the only time he really got it wrong was during the Broly fight, but to be fair no one suspected Broly until Goku fought him anyway, even King Kai.

I'm going to go with Dabra. Dabra was able to tell that Vegeta was a prick by a few words, which is pretty good. He also correctly guesses that Fat Boo is out of Babidi's control
