When kai stands between goku and majin vegeta, do you think goku would have followed though with his threat? How far would he have gone? It's hard to think he would but the only times he has seemed this troubled is when Krillin dies.

It's one of my favorite little scenes

This is just my opinion. But I think Goku knew that if he himself did not threaten the Supreme Kai, then Vegeta would have killed the Kai to fight Goku. I think Goku saved the Kai's life.

He definitely would've gone through with it. Killing a deity was less important than satisfying his pride and protecting hundreds of innocents.

I think you're confusing Goku with Vegeta.

Negative. What do you think would've happened had Kaioshin not stepped down?

I'm not entirely sure if he would have blasted him, but killing him? I can't see that happening. Buu saga Goku is definitely questionable compared to the other sagas, but he did not go full circle into a murderer.
Just how I see it though.

Goku was really gonna go through with that. He warned Kaioshin multiple times to step aside only for him to act like a moron and stay still. It was something Goku didn't want to do but he's not going to endanger any more innocent lives after Vegeta just killed hundreds of Humans.

Besides, he could always wish him with the DB's if Kaioshin was going to be stubborn about the whole thing.

If Goku WOULD do it, which I still don't think, it would be as you said. He'd have killed him to keep more people from being killed by Vegeta, and then he would have wished them back. Goku's logic is warped, but still morally good.

Goku most likely would't have killed him but blasted Kai away or badly injure him. Besides I think Goku was acting from anger of Vegeta killing people just to fight Kakarot.

The Dragonballs were the go-to solution for everything in this saga. It was a really flat concept.

He probably would've hit Yamcha instead then.

Well, Kaioshin didn't know Gokuu's personality well at all, and Gokuu knew that.
That's why the Kaioshin couldn't risk Gokuu actually doing it.

Considering how Goku acted throughout the entire Boo saga, I wouldn't put it past him to follow through with his threat.

Agreed. Although, I like to believe he wouldn't do it. Says more about his judge of character.

Goku had a mindset to do what he had to do that was necessary at the time. He probably would have done it, wished Kaioshin back, say sorry, chill on his planet and eat up his food like he didn't threaten him or kill him in the first place.
