A Florida father walked in on his 11 year old son being sexually abused by an 18 year old man. The father beat the man unconscious and dragged him into another room before calling 911. The 18 year old was arrested and taken to the hospital, while the father has been absolved of all possible charges against him. Man walks in on son being sexually abused by 18 year old What are your thoughts on parental violence toward their children's sex abusers? Do you believe this violence against their child's attacker is justified? If you do believe it is, what extent of the violence do you believe is justified? ---------- A more extreme case of this type of violence against sex abusers was one that I remember happening in Texas several years ago. I don't recall all the details, but a father walked in on his daughter being sexually abused by a legal adult. The father ended up shooting the abuser and killing him, and the father was absolved of all charges. Discuss

I think that's a bit excessive. Being a pedophile by itself isn't really a bad thing, and is really no different from being straight, gay, bi or asexual - it's just a sexual attraction that's way out of their control. You were right about child abusers though, it's no surprise the father acted the way he did, I can't even imagine the pure horror and rage that must have come to witnessing such a thing. The simple fact he restrained himself enough to just beat him unconscious is impressive.

I'm sure some even feel like terrible people for something which they have no control over. I forgot about those minorities in my post because generally pedophiles do abuse children. Those ones should be beaten up and then lobotomised.

I doubt this is true though. It's just that any pedophile acting on their urges is immediately doing something very wrong, so every pedophile you hear about has likely been a child molester. The people who can control their urges would never tell anyone, except maybe some kind of therapist if they think that will help. Of course I really don't know the mind of a pedophile, nor do I know anyone who is one (openly), so I guess there's a slight chance that whatever it is in the brain that causes attraction to children may also cause them to be sex offender of some degree. But I do get what you were trying to say, and I agree with you.

In the case of people aroused by children, that means they are probably going to be abusers whether they originally intended it or not. The temptation would be too strong.

It's not illegal to look at it, but it's illegal to save any material to your computer. And to be entirely honest, not every culture or time looks at child pornography in the same way, or even views pedophilia as a bad thing. Child marriage is actually a lot more common around the world than people believe. It's particularly practiced in the Middle East and Africa. People who've had sex should know what I mean by cramped. It's just barbaric really. How could doing something so wrong be worth it over therapy? Honestly I think just jail is too nice. Jail and castration, for probably ruining a kids mental health, reputation and future. Not to mention any physical damage. They don't need a d*** if they're in jail for the rest of their lives. Hopefully they'd see lots of them, if you catch my drift
