Halo Universe vs. Star Wars Universe

Super Saiyan among Super Saiyans

Scenario 1: No Jedi

Scenario 2: Elites' Energy Swords can Combat Jedi's Lightsabers; No Force

Scenario 3: Same as (2) but Jedi can use the Force

Overall, these two sci-fi universes seem similarly matched.

Banshee vs. Tie-fighter

Scarab vs. AT-AT

Plasma rifle vs. Plasma rifle

and so forth
We Super Saiyans are in a league of our own.

The Jedi need the Force to take on a Spartan. Their ability to preform kicka** martial arts is very dependent on Force augmentation.

A sun Buster, the planet busting Eclipse Class versions of the Super Star Destroyer (I think they had two, larger that the SSD Vader had), both Death Stars, The Dark Saber (A mobile version of the Deathstar's super laser with no crew or station attached) world devestors (Evil vacuums that just wiped the life from a planet) and a that's JUST the New Republic/New Jedi Order Era... On the Imperial Side. Factor in the Sith Empire, either republic, the Galactic Alliance, CIS had a few killer ones, The New Imperium, the Old and New Republics, the Zahn Consortum, Black Sun, the Hutts. Even without Jedi there is way too much going on in the 25000 year plus timeline of the Star Wars Expanded Universe to fathom, never the less pit against the Halo-verse. Just on numbers, Force excluded, Star Wars takes a solid victory. I think the Empire W/Mandelorians vs the Federation would be a bit more fair.

Scenario 1: No Jedi. - Stalemate. On the ground the Spartan Soldiers should have an edge over Storm Troopers, non ARC Troopers and the like. I'm not sure how big the Covenant, Flood and Federation Fleets are. The Empire alone does still have 25,000 star destroyers according to Return of the Jedi's novel. Then a dozen or so support ships for each Imperial class SD, Vader's Executor, and both Death Stars still. Though I think the Flood did have a planet Buster or two that could compete. Boba and/or Jango could likely compete with Chief. Both are known Jedi killers who have killed fully armed and trained knights, so a super soldier isn't likely to instantly meek them. But I see very little in decisive victory for either side.

Scenario two: Jedi even without the force are still highly trained and leathal. They're recruited in their youth and are trained from the craddle to the grave like a spartan. A Jedi Guardian like Kenobi could easily fight on the same level as your average Marine, especially with a saber. In saber vs saber combat, both force we idlers do have pre-cog, so ultimately it becomes a battle of skill. And Jedi are skilled warriors. Point goes to the SW Movie-verse after a very long war with heavy loses on both sides.

Scenario three: all out with Vader, Skywalker and the whole Jedi order in the Prequels, Original trilogy and that one off Star Wars the Clone Wars theatrical movie? (unless you only meant G-Canon, in which case Rex, Ventress and Ashoka sit this one out). the force is very strong and is a Jedi's ally and a Sith's weapon. No Spartan or Elite is gonna compete with the likes ofObi-wan Kenobi, The Fett family, The crew of the Mellenium Falcon, He Skywalker family, Palpatine, Yoda and the Jedi council, or anyone of the like. Not evenly, not for long. Especially if they get the high ground (lol sorry, had to get the joke in). But I'll say after a good... Let's say 6 to 8 month conflict, the Galaxy far far away forces the Halo verse to sign a Truce at Bakara

I think the Galatic Empire would crush the Covenant.

We seem to be in agreement involving the UNSC and the Covenant. However, what about the Forerunners? How would they fare?

Qualitatively I'd say the Forerunners are what makes this war (because it would not be a battle or two, it would be a war) a contest. On a small scale the Flood have technology that could compete with the Imperials or the Rebels rather handily, those sentinel beams have taken down Covenant Destroyers before. But on a larger scale, especially against the massive numbers that the Empire or CIS can bring to the table, or the Rebellion's surgical tactics, I don't think they'd have the resources to compete. Again, a much better fight than the Covenant, UNSC and the Flood, but I don't think they have enough Dreadnaughts to keep up with the opposition.

Not quite. The Halo Arrays are not Galaxy BUSTERS per say. What they do is emmit a specific electromagnetic pulse that affects all free thinking biological life-forms with a central nervous system in a 25,000 lightyear radius. In real space. But if one is disrupted, or if something is in sub or super space while it is active, it is missed in that particular instant. The Sun Crusher fired proton torpedos capable of producing a super nova's explosion, and thus gave it the ability to "Kill/Destroy" stars, as well as planets. Kyp Durron used it rather effectively this way to destroy a number of Imperial held systems during the New Republic arc of the EU. The Array is much more inventive, but it was realisitcally designed to starve out the flood entirely, not so much for active combat. In a fire fight, they're significantly less threatening. And missing one ring in the array distrupts the Halo and makes them nothing more than Space Stations. Bad arse space stations, but stations none the less.

Consider a weapon used in Halo 4 then (Pretty sure we are outside the realm of spoilers now at this time) and consider the Composer and how it could digitize enemies and reconstitute them into Promethean Constructs. At the very least it has shown to work through shielding and armour. There is no reason it cannot be fired in Sub-Space either, provided there are valid targets.

This is true. Again presuming they are valid targets. But certain Spartans did demonstrate a genetic predisposition against the metamorphisis. Perhaps a Jedi's midichlorins would create a similar defense?

What my point was, is that the Halo Universe has such technology. I don't doubt the Sun Crusher is more practical.

Oh no doubt dude. Personally what I think makes it a good fight is how inventive the Forerunner technology is. Can't beat em? Make them join you! They won't join? Fry their brains! They could do some serious damage even on a large scale against a single faction, all I think is that there are plenty of easy to deploy practical weapons in the Star Wars universe that get the job done very quickly and just as effectively if not more so. Conventional war fare goes to the Star Wars verse for sure, but those guerrilla semi-cosmic moves by the Forerunners man, it's not gonna be an easy fight. Massive casualties on both sides, the Jedi are gonna feel this one!
