You do realize that the kai's planet is bigger than the sun and it's extremely durable lol if you're going to try and debunk something atleast get you're facts together. Rofl Edit:it's clear freiza was holding back something that can "squash" the planet At the least that makes him able to lift anything on the planet itself Edited by King Kakarot, Jul 19 2014, 11:10 AM.

Well, you're wrong. It's bigger than the sun. I know it's true. |

yes i'm sorry for doubting you, kp-sama. i guess that also proves that toriyama didn't give two s***s about the laws of physics. Edited by Event Horizon, Jul 19 2014, 01:06 PM.

wasnt superman closing a black hole an amazing feat, i mean it only opend a bit to close something with so much force isnt goku holding something with force enough to destroy a planet impressive too then? just thinking aloud here:) |

Not being able to be destroyed? Quotes please. Regardless, we can say that it wasn't the weight of the object but rather the force that was giving him the trouble. Or else he wouldn't intentionally be using a few inches of soil for traction against something that weighed more than a planet. And the only reason me and a handful of others on this forum have left the "DBZ is my childhood, must make is the strongest anime" camp is because we were sick and tired of all the flood of kids in the old other versus section which was deleted. Or else I used to be the one trying to make Krillin and Roshi faster than light too in the earlier budokai along with pretending the 40 ton statement didn't exist (or multiplying it thousands of times). Even if you believe you can last word here the general consensus won't really change. We'll still be going with facts, not fan scaling.
It sounds like it'd be an impressive feat yeah. How much? Would be somewhere under 40 tons. |

is 40 tons enough to destroy a planet though.......... force must have been intense for goku to lift it and in base of freeza arc snap |

Just to see if I have this right, you guys are saying the mass and acceleration of the spirit bomb resulted in a force that is greater than the weight of a planet right? I think it makes sense but Idk why but I'm having a hard time believing dbz characters can hold the weight of a planet |

When dealing with Ki the mass and weight don't have to be impressive. |

maybe but i think we can get from all this is that gokus max is not 40 tons in base at the very least if people can see that then im good |

Goku had the fear that the force of the Genkidama would crush and squash the planet, and yes, force is mass x acceleration, with energy generally being force x movement. Think about a big meteorite: it wold have enough impact force (given by its mass x its acceleration) to destroy multiple continents and make the whole Earth shake; well, that Genkidama is basically like an enormous meteorite which would squash (literally) the whole planet. The weight of the planet, on the other hand, has nothing to do here and you can't compare force (Newton) with mass (kg), so saying "a force that is greater than the weight of a planet" makes no actual sense. The force of the Genkidama would have squashed the planet, but Freeza stopped it with his physical strength: at least for a while, it has been Force exercised by Freeza = Force of the Genkidama = Force able to squash a planet. Now think about how much Freeza could lift with that same force... I hope I was clear enough.

Just a question about the 40 tons thing. How strong was the gravity? Was it 10x? If that's the case, then he'd be struggling to lift 400 tons if he was on Earth. |
