Fighting power is really important... but if the fight is close, which fighter will gain the edge with their own fighting advantage over the other? |

Unless your slow as molasses, durability. It's better to be able to take hits than hoping your lighting fast Feather Punches hopefully withers down you ropponents before their Megaton Punch knocks you out sense in a single blow. |

Tie. People always say that speed kills (including me) but what's the point of speed if you can't damage anyone? Also just because the durable fighter is slower it doesn't mean that he wouldn't be able to react and put up some defense in time. |

I would rather say speed. Durability is irrelevant in the moment when enemy is unable to hit you. On the other hand, sooner or later fast person will get clear and strong enough hit, which will damage you. For example Piccolo though that he can defeat Third Form Frieza, cause he is faster. Tien also pointed out that Goku is pretty slow, thus even with his higher power he won't be able to bet Tien. |

If the fight is close I'd vote for the faster person over the more durable one. Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't the problem with Trunks vs. Cell the fact that Trunks increased his power to be very close to Cell but couldn't win because despite being more durable he had sacrificed too much speed? I think that's how that fight went. Trunks was more durable but Cell was faster so Cell won. |

Spoiler: click to toggle "I don't know why, but something about Trunks getting punched in the face is just so adorable." | |

A person who wins a fight isn't necessarily stronger. So it's better to say "Which of the two traits is more beneficial in a fight, speed or durability?" Well, it depends how much speed and how much durability you mean. If by speed you mean can't even touch, and by durability can't even lay a scratch or can go on for days without feeling fatigued then the fight would pretty much be equal. |

Super Saiyan among Super Saiyans

Real life: Speed. The faster fighter lands many hits and combos until the other one can't take anymore DBZ: Durability. For the most part, strength and speed are always equal in DBZ's power levels. So let's suppose there is a case where one is definitively faster. Well, if the other fighter has a durability advantage, melee attacks will not matter at all. The durable fighter will simply take the punishment until the faster fighter runs out of stamina, at which point game over. Only way the faster fighter has a chance if he is adroit at ki manipulation |
| We Super Saiyans are in a league of our own. | |

I'd say speed. The one guy could be durable, sure, but that doesn't matter if your opponent is too fast to hit. |

Anyone else? During combat, speed seems to be mentioned over durability more. |

If you are so fast where the opponent can't land a hit on you and can keep dodging for a whole day, then you would be lacking strength (if your power level was the same as their's). And that would mean that your power level would have a huge role on the Ki which is used up for speed, and a tiny role on Ki used for strength. And those weak hits wouldn't be enough to damage the durable opponent, who uses his Ki mostly on defense. It really all has to do with the situation. |
