Do you think we'll learn something cool when it comes to this -- like, the cyborg's names, Boo's history, etc? What decision do you think the author would tell us if this information were to be released one day?

It'll probably be later rather than sooner. "Wait, he couldn't transform before?" "Yeah...after Elder Kai performed his ritual upon him he was incapable of turning into a SSJ and all of it went into his Saikyou no Senshi self." Chrome Favourite Manga One Punch Man	Right now, the last three volumes of the full-color manga release have hit stores, and all three of them have Q&A's, so there's a SLIM chance this question might be answered in some way or another. I'm no prophet and don't mean to put words in Toriyama's mouth, but I would hope that just like me he would find the, "can still go Super Saiyan but doesn't get any power from it" answer as the simplest explanation.
