 I find AT's new work to be a contradiction and very inconsistent to his original work and really don't think it's all that reliable to be honest... even BOG.

Despite me arguing in another Section and other Threads, I like the idea of AT being involved in a Movie and him working on one every 5 or so years apart, so it feels special having him around and he's not jumping in and he wouldn't have to worry about doing too much or doing more than he wanted.

I like the concept of SSG, but thought it looked very half a***, it looks like Kaioken and doesn't look anything special to me. However, despite all of that... coming from another writer, no matter what I will always respect his work and he's influenced me too.

But personally, I say give his new stuff except for BOG as pass.

 The information we've been getting recently is some of the most interesting we've had for a long time. I don't even care that he's pulling it out of his a***, every single chapter of the manga was made up last minute...

 I'm on the fence about it. Apart of me is always glad for new stuff but I wish Toriyama gave us the info we wanted 20 years ago when the series was fresh in his head and he wasn't borderline senile like he seems to be now.

 i dont know if i want new long-term manga.

the anime world of today is extremely different of 20 years ago. look at the opening of kai, its too modern and just another proof. (there was also the wide-screen full-screen debate long ago).


as much as everyone i want to see more of dragon ball but i just dont want to risk it and destroy the reputation of the original work.


EDIT:
you shouldnt worry about things he says now, its a normal thing to throw around stuff before even writing first draft. he is just building an idea that hasnt been written yet.

 I ignore things that I feel he pulled out of his butt like Goku not needing SSJ2 and 3 anymore or 17 and 18's names.
